For those who don't know what kossith are, they are the horned species that make up most of the Qunari

Edit: preferably one that isn't part of the Qun

For those who haven't read the leaked info yet, as far as we all know you'll be playing a presumably chantry-funded inquisitor in DA3, whose job it is to protect the peace and the people of thedas, with the Qunari being the biggest existing thread to both.

Everyone seems to want them as a companion and love interest. I want one that's tall, dark, but also mysterious. Preferrably not part of the Qun still.

She doesn't have to be a Qunari, I just want here to be a kossith

You know, there's probably a reason people haven't read the leaked info yet, and having you come in and start blabbing about what's in the leak defeats that reason.

Kossith companion would be cool. As I mentioned in the last thread asking for this, I'm personally hoping Kossith will be a playable race.

Which is still extremely unlikely, based on what we've seen of the qun so far. Mind you, with the amount of fan-demand I honestly can't tell how unlikely it'll be to happen - it'd just be either extremely far fetched, or incredibly retarded is what I'm saying. And I'd really rather not suffer through a second Tallis debacle.

Jeez, you don't have to like my ideas, but you don't have to be a d*ck about it either

Count whatever hostility you might feel due to a lack of patience for the frequency some things show up. I'm quite honestly not trying to be a dick to anyone - I'm merely trying to point out that the idea you have proposed, regardless of it's actual merits, much like the idea of giving the DA3 PC a space-ship, would require bending the established canon (or simple logic) to a point where at least my own suspension of disbilief would be severely damaged. It might still be possible, but it'd require some seriously long ways to go, and it's a risk I'd rather not take. If you would like to take it, you're free to express such. I merely felt the need to post here, because an awful lot of people, particularly from the qunari/kossith fandom strike me as rather oblivious to both the moral/factual implications of qunari philosophy, and to the lore-implications of closely affiliating the DA3 PC with a qunari/kossith.

I don't think it'll happen in DA 3, but I hope they'll consider it for one of the next titles. If DA 3 doesn't end up being hilariously bad and destroying the franchise, that is. xD

You seem to be missing that people are asking for Kossith, not Qunari. They're two different things. Most Kossith are Qunari, yes, but to believe that every single member of an entire race belongs to one nation/religion is foolish and breaks my personal suspension of disbelief, especially since it's already been established that this is not the case as there is a Kossith in DA2 who decides to leave the Qunari fully and become a mercenary.

Nothing in the leak info has been confirmed as the gospel for Dragon Age 3, and there is nothing that in the lore of Dragon Age 3 would rule it out either. They just need a good story behind it.

I would be interested, myself. Possibly a mage; I think a mage kossith would have pretty good reason not to adhere to the Qun. (The one from DA2 seemed to disagree with me, but I figure they can't all be like that.)

I'd prefer a female Kossith then a male one. It makes sense that they would be non-qunari too.

Personally I would love it. Especially if she were an archer with a gigantic longbow.

I actually think it would be less likely to find a mage Kossith that doesn't adhere to the Qun than a non mage Kossith. The Qunari torture and brainwash mages until pretty much all their free will is gone and they only believe in following the Qun. It'd be very hard to break away from that.

I'd prefer a warrior. Female archers are increadibly over done. Aveline was a really nice break from that and I'd like to see something similar again in DA3.

I support this, though I'd like to rephrase it as female Kossith LI and possible companion.

It's the same every time with some people.
As soon as a new race popps up, the first reaction is "make it romancable!".
Get help....

I'd rather have PLAYABLE kossith. All of the conversation options would be
DIPLOMATIC: "No."
SNARKY: "..." *unsettling stare*
AGGRESIVE: *stab*
...but of course you couldn't be a member of the Span Chantry Inquisition if that was how you were rollin'... :(

I am not. However you've surely talked to the tal vashoth in DA2, and heard how much hostility he had to endure purely for having horns, since the existence of tal vashot is something the qun tries to cover up, and you can't really differentiate between the two until you've asked. And considering the Quns stand on mages, any mage on the run is going to throw lightning first and ask questions later.
So why would a person tasked with calming down a mage rebellion of all things take the incredible risk of bringing such a red flag along? What could such a Kossith possibly bring to the table, that's worth the risk of putting any mage you meet into fight or flight mode?
Again, not saying it couldn't be done - but more likely then not, it'd just be like being an apostate in the first third of DA2 - you're flinging spells around right in front of the Knight Captain, and nobody notices. And I'd rather not see something like that repeated.
