I liked this addon BUT... why can you not go back into the keep after you clear it out the first time? That is such a huge ripoff that you cannot do that. There should even be options to decorate the inside of the keep or somethng.. but there is nothing at all. 7 dollars for something 1 person could have done in a few days.

First of all, yes it was disappointing that you could not return to the castle. But honestly, what would you do inside there? Run around? Decorate? I'm sorry, but decorating a castle would feel extremely out of place in Dragon Age.

I am not trying to attack you personally, but you obviously have no idea how much work goes into video games. Warden's Keep took many people a lot more than a few days to complete. The visuals, the scripting, the programming, the voice acting, the new abilities, etc. To say that it would have taken one person a few days is just ignorant.

Also, $7 is nothing. I make more than that in an hour at my job.

Lol. Well, actually GeneralATK wasn't the only one to make that point about not being able to go back into the Keep. The least they could have done was allow us to use the keep as a base of operations for building our army in addition to having the various group representatives continue to miraculously show up wherever we camped. It would have added a little touch of realism.

When the game itself costs 40 dollars, 7 dollars is a lot. I am glad you make 7 dollars an hour working I guess you can afford to eat.

Uhh... what? I simply used that to show that $7 is not a lot of money. I can afford a lot of things, including eating. What did that have to do with paying for DLC?

sounds bit like a one way Bus ticket. i think the point is there should be more value in the DLC not just a quick run through.

Well, I'd say it's more friendly to offer those guys from the circle, redcliffe, etc a room in a castle instead of letting them sleep outside XD

General, Frankly, I do see your point - I don't think we're ever given a good reason why the Dryden brood are wandering around outside in the freezing cold when they literally have a castle sat there all good and ready.

On the other hand, I can't imagine there would be a huge demand to decorate castles. While in theory this sounds good, in practice it really doesn't add all that much. Dragonfire Castle in Oblivion pretty much made that clear.

Also, trying to say one person could have made Warden's Keep in a few days is a bit silly. Just because the DLC takes half an hour to play doesn't actually mean it musn't have taken much effort. It is fully voice acted with both new voices and input from the cast of your team - something which, I think, is vital to a game like DA:O where voiceover is so fundemental to the storyline.

If you want to prove me wrong, download the toolset and show us what you can do.

If you can brush aside the exaggerations, the OP does have a point.

There are a great many areas in the main campaign (maybe one hundred, maybe more?). But these DLCs are just four or five areas. In fact their smallness was rather shocking to me -- I remember thinking, "What? That was Warden's Keep?"

So speaking strictly in economical terms, Stone Prisoner and Warden's Keep are extremely poor deals. Fans will buy them regardless. But there is a middle ground of users who had reasonable expectations which were not met.

lol, you want to decorate? This isn't The Sims...it's Dragon Age!!!!!!!!!!! haha. I can't say I feel the same way b/c they could be saving something for later plus I got tons of armor & weapons, a storage chest, & new dialogue...back story...oh & the two new powers. It was worth it to me for those reasons alone plus I could be contributing to us being one step closer to Dragon Age 2!!!!!

It was worth it to me--good fights and some even better backstory that contributed to creating even more immersion in the world. I'm glad I got it.

BUT:

I agree with the OP. It does seem a little strange (re: crooked, shody, and lazy) that this wasn't included in the game to begin with, wasn't available for free (as part of a patch, say), and that it's not more integrated into the rest of the storyline.
