So I am curious, what is the highest level anyone has ever gotten. I thought it topped out around 32, but recently after playing all DLC's with the same guy I made it to 34. Anyone know how high is possible? I was only playing on normal setting, except for the Golems of Amgarrack (I was going for the Grim Reaper achievement), so I know I am getting less experience then if you play at higher levels, or at least I think it works that way at least.
Highest Level??

The cap is 25 for Origins and 35 for Awakening. AFAIK, the experience gain is same for all difficulty level.

This mod helps me reach max lv before game end
http://dragonage.nex...s.com/mods/1566
gain triple experience w memory band, works only for Avatar ->solo best for exp, I finished Ostagar at lv 7, and woke up at Flemeth at lv 9.
The Memory ring has to be worn for extra exp, and it is a bit on the low side stats wise at lv 16, (health regeneration 0.5, constitution 5)
I become lv 25 right before Landsmeet if i keep carrying it in fights, and go solo.

It's easy to reach level 25 before the end of Origins and 35 by the mid/latter part of Awakenings if you go OCD on every XP-giving mechanic in the game. Like you have to reload whenever you forget to disarm a trap, make sure your PC does most last hits, use AoE on just about everything since you also get XP for killing neutrals, etc.

The simplest way to power level (and it isn't cheating) is simply to feed the Dalish emissary in your camp elfroots. Every time you supply your army, you get experience. Elfroots are dirt cheap and may be bought in bulk.
If you cap yourself in Origins, my understanding is that it is trivial to hit 35 in Awakening.
The highest I've ever gone in Awakening is 34 and everything was very easy the entire time.

Yeah, I sort of wish I hadn't learned about the game mechanic that the character who makes the killing blow gets extra XP. I remember being told it was 2XP extra per kill, which sounds paltry until you multiply 2 X (number of total kills)... which at the end of one game was 3023... or over 6000XP extra... I first tried making my Warden get the final blow while everyone else fought, but this ended up being far too demanding to monitor and orchestrate, so I ended up playing so that no one does damage except my Warden. >:-) I generally make it to 25th every time in DAO, got 35th in DAA.
And although the Dalish elfroot trick isn't technically cheating, it's truly an exploit built into the game- sort of like sparkly containers and stealthing in full view and recognizing that a chest is locked before you even get up to it. I do use it, but only with the extra stash I get from the road, not purchased stuff. It's just too absurd to buy from the Dalish in order to supply... the Dalish...
Dalish: *raising an eyebrow* "You want to do what?"
Warden: "Don't worry. I'll pay for it."
Dalish: "I'll take your money. You're good for that."
