Perhaps it should be unlocked later in the game, as... like... Prestige Facial Hair.

That is an amazing stache, but I dont think everyone should be able to have one so fantastic.

Maybe it is a day 1 CE DLC instead?

Of all the companions across all three games (DA:O, DA:A, and DA2), only ONE of them has any real facial hair (Oghren). Nathaniel has a sad little soul patch, I guess, but that's just sad.
That seems disproportionately low, especially in a medieval-tech-level setting, where shaving was for fancy pants lords and fops. (I have no idea if that's a real word, but I like it).
As you can tell by my avatar, however, I always try to even the odds.

Why don't you go to your local zoo? You'd find a lot of real men there for you to love. And pet. And feed.
This isn't about real life. It's about my fantasy life. Please don't fantasy shame.

Don't make me send you a picture of my real face. Trust me, I know moustaches are serious business. They also deserve to be spelled correctly.

American English spelling is perfectly valid. As long as we all share a love of mustaches, it's cool.

I suppose that's true.
Seriously though, I hated Nathaniel Howe's sad little patch of fuzz. I just wanted to scream at him, "Do it right, or don't do it at all! Shave off that pathetic excuse for facial hair!" I mean, Oghren is RIGHT THERE in the room. You think his soul patch would have slinked off in shame.

That soul patch was directly linked to his daddy issues. If he shaved it away, it would only grow back later in the night with the aid of his father's ghost while 'Don Giovanni' played in the background.

OK then how about a really long, bushy scarf made of fur. It has the advantage of being able to taken off and put on at any time. It would also give bonus to mana and constitution.

But real facial hair gives a much higher bonus to wisdom, constitution, strength, and sexual prowess.
