Sooooo....

I took on the challenge posed on the thread link below. It indicated that the enemies on the PC version of ME3 would be much harder than the ones on the console if I used an Xbox 360 controller on the PC version. This according to the poster would prove that the pc enemies were harder. The challenge was also to do this by joining a pug Gold lobby.

Mind you guys I dont have almost anything unlocked on the PC version of ME3 and this short video is what I found to be the case.

Edit: I will try this again once I level up on PC more. Hopefully try again by this weekend.

For pc the best thing ever is there is no aim assist , which is a good training for head shot.

Any PC player is welcome to play with me on Xbox Live to test out the difference.

The enemies have the same health across all platforms I believe.

If anything was different it would be the AI, but most people seem to think the AI is the same too.

PC input is superior.

Glad you experienced for yourself. I could have saved you the trouble and just told you that there are no difference in the enemies. The game is coded exactly the same for all platforms. Yes, the control schematics need to differ according to what you are playing it on, but otherwise it's the same exact game.

I tried using Xpadder with a wired Xbox controller and scrapped it pretty quick. Responsiveness was massively inferior to using mouse and KB. Definitely didnt work as well as the Xbox controller works on the Xbox either.

I play on both Xbox and PC regularly BTW

It is not coded the same across all platforms, and PC enemies are more accurate and tend to go into evasion routines more often to compensate for control differences.

They are similar, but they are not exact.

It's a good thing you added "PC enemies easier???" to the title. It will help increase the amount of views of this thread.

It's his standard mo alongside such humble gems as "WHY AMI SO OP" wherein he discusses for 7 pages how huge his epeen is and why are people hating on his obviously gargantuan epeen.

A credit to good players everywhere and the BSN community's reputation in general.

I think you are right about them not being coded the same BUT.... the console enemies from my experience versus what I am experiencing on the pc are actually much more accurate. A Phantom on console would drop you almost on the second shot....on pc its like they kind of take their time to let you get a cup of coffee.

Im sure its mostly the same but...I tried a few more games after this video and I am surprised at the differences. Almost like the buff on Cerberus took place on the console but didnt on pc. Im a pc noob so ....my opinion is just that..opinion but I have extensive console experience and Im kind of finding the pc enemies somewhat friendlier. Just a little....not by much.

Well my dear friend, the only way to know that is soloing, because for example if your allies are constantly doing damage to enemy, they won't attack you as if they won't be receiving damage.

My advantage is, for the sake of science, try a gold solo on console with no equipment and with a ****ty weapon, and try the same on PC, no equipment ( because we know that on PC you don't have it, so we want this to be equal ).

I can help you in all the details :P

So I only play on PC, but I did try the demo on my friends Xbox, and I hated the controls. I actually have the Xbox controller for PC, but rarely use it for any games. Its good for driving and platform games
I watched your video, do you think that the xbox auto aim assist would have helped you get a headshot on that nemesis? I don't know how it works so I'm wondering if perhaps that is why some people consider the console version easier. Personally I found the demo version on xbox more difficult, mostly due to my unfamiliarity with the controls.

It's not the enemies that are different, it's the performance of the platform and your input system. You can respond to enemies more easily on PC, and should generally have more seamless gameplay, so it certainly seems easier on a PC - especially after playing on an Xbox. Do you really think they would spend the time and money to vary the AI dynamic across platforms? Your input commands are what prompts enemy reactions, so of course they seem different since input design and response is different depending on the system you use.

No I coudnt get a headshot on the Nemesis because the xbox 360 controller on the pc doesnt respond the same as it does on the actual xbox 360. Its just not as fluid or fast. If  you noticed I threw grenades at walls two times...just not the same.

Nice video, would have been great to see you finish that game on gold but you can't win them all. Do you plan on making a whole run or were you just doing a demonstration?

That was fun to watch and now try gold/platinum without Infiltrators to hide from the AI. But take your time adjusting the controls first. We don't want controls to be an issue in the next test.

How would using an Infiltrator on PC be different than using one on console? I will do this but just dont see the difference.

And yes....tough trying to get the xbox 360 controller on PC to have the same exact response as the one on the actual 360. I tried for about an hour but will keep trying till its at least 99% close to the 360's.

I tried to watch this vid, but it's just way too painful. So awkward.
