Other than that I'd say new characters - I did love Signrun but as she can be killed that doesn't seem very likely (yes, I know Lelianna can too, but that's already been re-conned, Sigrun returning would be a whole EXTRA ret-con).
1. Lelianna - and able to be flexibly set us as either daggers or bow-wielder too - same should go for all rogues and warriors and mages should have access to every spell tree too.
2. A female Dwarf - either rogue or warrior, I don't care
3. A Kossith - male or female, I'm not that fussed
4. Something more 'weird' - sort of like Shale from Origins... maybe a desire demon :-D
5. Also, somebody pretty normal and down-to-earth to be a bro - like Garrus, or Varric, or Anders from Awakening.
That's all I got.

I would love to get Lelianna back because she was awesome but I can't enjoy going back to play DA: Origins anymore.

Anders could be killed in Awakening too, same as Sigrun. That little fact didn`t bother Bioware much.
In my first import Zevran, Leliana and Anders were all dead. All of them showed up in DA2, hehe. I guess i played DA:O and Awakening all wrong.

Anders starts the mage / templar war. Even if he is killed, Justice survives. Makes a lot of sense to have him, justice and Hawke involved in the war on dA3.

It's bad enough they ignored Anders and several others potentially being dead before DA2, but you want them to ignore Anders potential death twice?

2. Marass from DA2
3. Mage who has reason to support both sides (sibling/romantic interest in the Templars was in the gallows in Kirkwall and dealt with the worst of templar abuses)
4. Varric
5. A human rogue from Neverra or the Anderfels somewhere we haven't been or heard about much before
If you could make this happen I'd really appreciate it.

The elves in Dragon Age are pretty much all white and pasty, buddy. I don't think you'll be getting a rouge elf any time soon.

2. A Kossith, preferably a non-Qunari one. They are a very interesting race and while we were able to see a bit more of that in DA2 I missed knowing one personally as a companion, and I want that to return. One who has rejected or does not follow the Qun would also be an interesting viewpoint. Plus after seeing the Qunari redesign I could only hope that one would eventually be added as an LI.
3. I want a mage character that actually interests me, as other than Morrigan all mage companions are a bit... meh in my eyes. They are either incredibly foolish, and follow blood magic and demons or are fussy purists like Wynne. I want more "regular" mages like Bethany, who don't agree with using Blood magic but don’t go preaching about mage rights and morals every two seconds.
4. A Grey Warden, preferably an older one like Duncan. As Grey Wardens get older they are slowly called to their calling, and it must be pretty terrible. There were many questions about the blights effect over a long time that I wanted to ask Duncan before he died, and it could lead to some very interesting (and potentially saddening) conversations.
5. A Templar who does not spend the game whining or moaning about mages and arguing with mage characters. I liked Fenris's character, but the fact that he spent nearly all the game moaning about mages and being offensive to the mages in the group got a bit grating. It would actually be refreshing to see a Templar get on really well with some of the mage companions. A lot of people want Cullen and I think that he would make a good companion, as he already has a lot of emotional depth and character development, but the PC has never been close enough to him to discuss it at length.

1. Cassandra.
2. Some badass rogue mercenary like Bronn\\Zaeed. Lots of storyes about his adventures, even one about how he met Gray Warden/Hawke "i was the only one who made it out alive that day"
3. Young Rivani mage/healer girl, smart, cute and VERY insightful.
4. Knight Captain Cullen, good guy templar with problems about his traumatic past.
5. Female Tevinter Magister, extreemly powerful Fire mage,("Blood magic? HA! Who needs blood magic...") captured by her fellow magisters(Flemeth?) somewhere far away and long ago. Joins your party after her sudden release by protagonist in his quest for answers. She is going to reclaim her power/youth(sacrifise other character?)/immortality and make her enemies pay(nuke them from the orbit by meteor). She knows much about good old times, but not going to reveal all truth to the protagonist. Ambitious and cunning, but impatient. End justifies the means. Could be LI after regaining her power or be killed by the hero.

2. Cassandra. I've been interested in The Seekers of Truth since their first 'introduction' in the Witch Hunt dlc, with the locked book in the circle tower. "The Seekers guard their secrets well" indeed. I want to find out more about her as a character as well. It would be a fun bit of subversion of a common Bioware trope if she happened to already be in a relationship with the mage from Dawn of the Seeker, and I see her as being a strong voice in the Inquisition.
3. An Awakened Darkspawn. Before any of you say that this cannot be done, I raise you one question: Have you ever, by chance, played Fallout 2? There was a character that served as a possible companion who was a Deathclaw. When taken into cities, he would done a heavy cloak and appear to just be an overlarge hunchback (or something along those lines) and no one would look at him twice. The largest challenge of making this person a party member would be as follows: A. Introducing him in a manner so that the Inquisitor and his/her companions would not immediately strike the Awakened down, and B. Dealing with the fact that he could make those around him contract the taint. My thoughts on this would be that, during some exploration of the Deep Road for whatever reason, you run into the Architect, who offers his help from a safe distance, and sends you an awakened to serve as an envoy, or something along those lines. If the architect is dead, then it could be presented in a different manner that would be equally plausible or implausible, depending on how you view this idea. Perhaps he could be 'special' in that he doesn't spread the taint or something. And on a last note, you know what would be awesome? If this awakened was a Shriek. But that would probably be pushing my luck.
4. Cullen. He's had a strong character arc from Origins into Dragon Age 2, and it would be a shame for him to not be a companion in such a chantry-centric plot.
5. Would it be too much to ask for Varric to be a companion again? I enjoyed his witty dialogue and banter in the second game, and perhaps a point could be made to contrast Varric in reality, as opposed to the (probably just slightly) better image of himself that he gave to Cassandra. It would be easier than making one of the other Dragon Age 2 characters a companion, except perhaps Aveline, due to Aveline not being killable either. He could even be a love interest for all the people saddened by his lack of a romance arc in the second game.
Just my two cents.

- Cassandra
- Varric
- A mash up between MacGyver and Mordin Solus. Kind of a jack of all trades likes to tinker with stuff with unexpected personality quirks. Any race could work but most likely a dwarf.
- A Dalish elf archer who couldn't give a [fill in the blank].
- A pompous Orlesian Chevalier.

1. Cassandra. We didn't really see much of her in Dragon Age 2, but I liked that she was rough and aggressive at first but nearer the end of the game became more sympathetic to Varric. She was also one of the better looking female characters in my opinion, which also helps her case.

I agree with all of these, especially Cassandra. Not only was she hot but I liked how you said that her personality changed from overly aggresive to sympathetic. I wish other characters made transformations like this is as well...like Isabella. I thought she'd at least try to sleep around less after I romanced her. But she didn't. What the crap Izzy?
