Literally, not the soliders on earth, not the asari, turians, krogan.

I know that synthesis would be confusing at first but...the Reapers are technically no longer reaping...

They've stopped reaping, but they haven't been blown up or run away.

I'd be suspicious too.

If an enemy I was fighting just suddenly stopped, my reaction would be more 'what the f*ck' than happiness.

They've reached a higher plane. Cheering is a primitive response that requires emotions they no longer have.

They are taken by surprise by the outcome. It is likely the Reapers are also trying to communicate with them in those scenes.

Then that krogan gives the Reaper on Tuchanka a nod of approval, acknowledging that they'll be working for us now. :police:

Well, I admit I wasn't being 100% serious with my response. I know this kind of question is a serious query for some, but for me it really boils down to the fact that it didn't happen because it didn't, ya know?

I know it was a joke. Maybe I should've used a smiley.

Emotions cause all the problems in this world. Thats why Synthesis is not Paragon it turns us into Emotionless AI's to prevent future war

lol. Yes, because they are all intertwined the need not express their feelings in a physical sense. Instead they just run program: 001001 which simulates emotive cognitive processes.

Hmm...if they are all intertwined, I wonder what would happen if one of them caught a virus and 'crashed'....would that pain be experienced by all of them? Would the problem spread? Or would they all fly into the sky in search of ice-cream?

I didn't get the "emotionless" vibe...
It's more like the desire to fight has been completely removed from everyone...

2) Would the problem spread?
3) Or would they all fly into the sky in search of ice-cream?

1) Only if you're Asari.
2) Only if you're Rachni
3) Only if you're ANYONE as that would be totally AWESOME!

I honestly thought this is a more realistic reaction than what happens in Control where soldiers just start cheering when the Reapers leave. I mean, what if they're simply regrouping or defending something more important?

Reapers don't Regroup and nothing is more important then the Citadel they know it can be used to destroy them.

Frankly, if I was a soldier on the ground and saw the capital ships flying away, I wouldn't cheering like I just won. I would actually be wondering why they are flying away, because they could be just moving to attack a more significant target. The soldiers cheering in Control doesn't rest well with me.

but they know theres nothing more Significant humans are the threat the Citadel is there they had to know the only reason they would leave is if they lost

Well, from a tactical perspective, the Reapers may just be flying away to engage some cruisers that are fighting above. Or, maybe those Reapers are flying away to shoot at the Crucible.

I'm pretty sure the soldiers noticed the giant blue pulse of energy before the reapers leave...surely they're smart enough to put 2 and 2 together.
