i thought i saw one of the synth-husks raise one of his eyebrows.

kindof gave the look like, "oh, im alive now! wellp peace out im gonna hit up the clubs."

i think he ran off with his arms thrown up in the air. idk if thats becasue he was celebrating, or just continuing on with his day.

They're just cyborgs..another race created by all the 'other' confusing circumstances. The med techs have their work cut out for them, apparently. We don't know the ratio of machine vs organics..so it'd be hard to tell. At least they're not hammering troops anymore..

I doubt the appearance of those and other reaper-ations would be much of biggy in the MEU.. considering the cultural diversity exhibited to date?

yeah the husks from feros can just use their puking capabilites and get into a puking occupational.

the cyborgs won't be puking, unless we don't help them..they get the shaft either way.. so, we should hate and destroy them cause they've been wounded?

I'm not understanding your inflections? Those Rachni are kind of weird,but...helpful if not subjugated to the Krogan wars..on false premise...oops.

Everyone's in shock that such an implausible, thematically retarded thing could happen in a universe they thought they at least vaugely understood.

They've been violated in irreparable ways. If they still have the cognizance to realize this of course they won't be cheering.

"They're not cheering because they are now emotionless drones. Because indoctrination."

*Cue memorial wall scene.*

"Those are forced emotions by the Reapers. Because indoctrination."

BSN logic at its finest.

They don't cheer because they're confused. This would be the normal reaction to synthesis. This alone completely disproves any brain washing theory. If they were brain washed and their emotions were removed, then they wouldn't react at all. But they clearly react to as any being would. With confusion.

Indoctrination does not turn one into a mindless husk, not right away, at least. It makes the person believe what the Reapers are about is good, such as exhibited by Kenson and Saren. The idea that all of the people are indoctrinated isn't that they're all mindless husks, it's that they now believe in the Reapers ideals.

EDI herself starts going on about transcendence, immortality, ect. These are Reaper ideals. EDI didn't care bout Imortality before. In fact, before Synthesis, EDI claimed the exact opposite, that she valued her mortality in that she would gladly give her life for someone, like Jeff, that being devoted to nothing but self-preservation was a Reaper idea and repugnant.

In other Words, EDI is acting completely out of character. She's talking more like a Reaper.

what is meant by 'we are nations, independent'? and then, what is "a Reaper idea"?  No one knows how they think or how their society exists. No one but Shep can even communicate with one, or especially the catalyst... something weird about that, and no, it doesn't prove the IT.

It onl proves that nobody knows, so really, noone really knows what is indoctrination, other than the general definition and examples given by codex/lore and Saren/TIM et al... who, by the way,are actuallly indoctrinated, but don't explain the experience completely.

There are no Shepards that actually knows what indoctrination is. Even the IT crowd who insist that all Shepard are indoctrinated.

One thing is for sure tho, you cannot indoctrinate an Ai, you can assume control, if possible. Re-program, if applicable, but you cannot brain wash one.. they don't have the correct nervous system...the don't have a nervous system.

So, if indoctrination were in evidence, every Ai out ther on your side would instantly freak out and warn you of it. Thats why the Prothean Ai all were 'adjusted' to percieve it intensely..and when they did, what did they say to Shep about it, and what did they do? They blasted out warnings or scanned and noted that Shep wasn't indoctrinated, nor crewmates, as well. All Ai in the MEU are produced with or by reaper technology in one form or another, they would have technology advanced enough to require programming that would have safeguards to such intrusions of software, anti virus programs, firewalls..self improvements if sentient.

The only victims of brain washing might be the Shepards alter egos...Posted Image

RiptideX1090 actually makes sense. AIs can be indoctrinated, but it requires a different technique. Remember the Pentium FDIV bug and the heretics?

Legion: "An equation with a result of 1.33382 returns as 1.33381. This changes the result of all higher processes. We will reach different conclusions."

That's space magic with style.

On a positive note, at least Bioware acknowledged that the Synthesis option would leave the majority of the galaxy in shocked confusion. One minute you're fighting for your life and then whoosh, your friends and allies grow tech out of their skin and their eyes turn glowing green, whilst the big bad enemy is now ignoring you. Now whilst you're not being killed any more that would be about the only plus point in an otherwise highly disturbing realisation. Basically everyone is saying "What in the hell happened?" Remember it is only the synthetics that get greater understanding out of this deal. The organics get their DNA twisted and melded with Reaper tech but that's it. I imagine that after a great deal of puzzlement, Wrex would say "Looks like Shepard f***ed up. Can I go back to killing turians now?"

Beyond those green eyes and circuitry, I have no idea. What I can see is that almost all of the Synthesis slides are identical to Destroy/Control slides. What I can also see is that the Citadel, the home of the Catalyst, who is the collective intelligence of the Reapers, is shown exploding in Synthesis, i.e. a recolored Destroy sequence.

But according to majority of BSN, that's definitely strong, compelling, irrefutable evidence of indoctrination.

Literally, not the soliders on earth, not the asari, turians, krogan.

I know that synthesis would be confusing at first but...the Reapers are technically no longer reaping...

If you were just turned into a techno-organic nightmare and could hear the thoughts of the Reapers and newly sentient husks (implied by the Catalyst to be an effect of Synthesis) you might not be in the best state to smile.

Besides that, Synthesis is just terible. The Reapers are alive and watching over us with watchful eyes, husks live, machines and organics are plugged into one another, and it's entirely possible everyone in the entire galaxy is now completely indoctrinated as a result.

hmm

But why would an indoctrinated galaxy feel the need to rebuild civilization? EDI's (and the rest of the normandy cew for that matter) post-synthesized view on life didn't really scream indoc either.
