Depends.
In DAO, my preferred class was DW warrior
In DA2, mage

Will give all genders and classes a try at least once.

I would like to play as a mage, but I'll probably play the class that makes the most sense for the story.

Makes me wonder how a mage PC will feel about the current events in DA3.

The cliche Blood Mage, as always. If there are multiple races, Dalish warrior.

I played a rogue my first time through DA:O (although I did try a lot of different class/race/gender combinations after that), and a mage in DA2, so I guess I should start with a warrior in DA3 to round it out.

Not that I plan to stop there, I'll definitely be trying out all the classes at least once.

Male Warrior.

In fantasy based RPGs I've never been a fan of mages.

As always, I begin my quests as a female rogue, and an elf if given the option. It's been my MO since the original Neverwinter Nights. Can't mess with success.

I'll probably end up playing a mage and a rogue (not necessarily in that order), assuming we have the standard three options. Warrior isn't really my style. I'll decide on sexes when I get there and see how it all looks and so on. :) And I'm really hoping to play an elf, but I have a suspicion that's off the table.

My main character in DAO was a mage, wanted to be a rogue in DA2 but a brat named Carver prevented that from happening. I haven't played as a warrior at all in the DA series so I'll likely play one as my main character in DA3.

Depends on many things:

Are races allowed or are we stuck with Human? If I can choose and if Elves do not look like Mutant Hunchbacks, I will play an elf male.

Then probably rogue and Mage unless the warrior class got some nice tweaks, I could not get into a warrior run in DA2 as it was more fun to play rogue and mage. DA:O I had a warrior playthrough, but DA2 warrior was boring to me.

So if I had my way: Male Elf Rogue then Male Elf Mage.

My first playthrough character in Neverwinter Nights (the very first one), was a rogue.
So I always start my first playthrough as a rogue ever since.
It's something like a tradition for me.

I'm thinking a female mage in DA3. That or another female rogue. Dunno.

How about y'all?

I'm really hoping the game has enough replay value to play through about five or six different characters.

I played DA:O several times, trying all the different origin stories for each race and optional background. You really missed out if you only tried the warrior background in DA:O. For DA2, however, I only played two characters, a mage and a rogue.

I want to be able to play a Rogue who can dual wield swords.
Or a Mage who can equip heavy armor. (Battle mage)

I played all the Origin stories, but only carried a Human Noble all the way through. Actually, several Human Nobles.

Male human noble warrior in DAO, a male mage in DA2, and DA3 will probably be a male rogue.

I figure they are going to stick with human protaganists so voicing the protaganist will be much easier to do.

I played as a male warrior in Origins, a male dual wielder rouge in II. I think it's about time I made a mage my cannon.

2H warrior. I always try to play a 2H warrior first in RPGs with the heaviest armour possible.
