I was a male human warrior in Origins, and a male Hawke mage in II, so I'll probably go male human rogue in Inquisition.

My dwarven warrior will use this glowy hand magic AND a form of blood magic
fear the magic dwarf demon scum!

So my planned characters are now

Dwarven Reaver. Im unsure which gender I'll choose, basically comes down to varric or the scout. Lol.
Templar was another option, but reaver seems to fit a more direct / sarcastic inquisitor. And its blood magic.

I also plan on a dalish elf mage. Will use ice and stone magic, hopefully a plant spell if ones available, and will most likely specialise in rift magic.

My human circle mage, will utilise ice and flame, and specialise in knight enchanter. As its a spec from the circle, it seems to fit most.

I need more info on the qunari / vashoth background to form my character.

I kinda want to play a female dwarf rogue...  problem is the two npcs I'm interested in are also both rogues.  That would be Sera and Varric.  If I can romance Varric so doing that, otherwise Sera is my second choice.  I have a feeling though a three rogue party will be a bit silly and non functional however, neither a mage or a warrior will make up for three rogues.

I made 3 DW Rogues party (Tabris, Leliana and Zevran) + Wynne (controller, buffer and healer) + tons of swift salves. It was a lot of fun, at normal difficulty though and not the first playthrough.

Female elf rouge appearance wise it'll most likly be a blonde unless black hair fits the end result. I'll eventually branch out from there if the story really is replayable with other female characters using the other species.

Either a Human Male Warrior or Rogue.

 

It will depend on wether Warrior's can just wield a one handed sword without having to equip a shield or not.

Argh I was pretty dead set on going Human Female Rogue coz I like playing with bombs and grenads. But I was also tempted by the Mage.

 

Now with the backgrounds revealed, I'm more likely to play Mage! (Plus my main Hawke was already a Rogue so...and I will get to set things on fire in a different way.)

 

For an hypothetical second playthrough, it's a toss up between Rogue Archer Elf (is knife hunting even a thing? You hide in the trees and leap on baby dears like Wolverine?) and Dwarf Rogue or Warrior (the criminal family thing looks really interesting).

 

Then again, the SnB warriors looks pretty BAMF, they could be SnB Bro/Sistah with Cassandra.

 

But who knows, strarring at the CC I could decide to go Qunari for all I know.

Human male Mage, late 20s, generic white male appearance except with good hair, can be considered dashing on a very good day. Not lacking for smarts, but most certainly lacks for agenda, can be a tad clueless/oblivious to the current situation, would love nothing more than to yell at extremists on both sides (eg. Anders) of the war to STFU, immediately followed up by a falcon paunch.

 

Bit of a sloth and a sleaze, goes to the summit because he's: forced to/nothing better to do/hope to catch the eye of cute chantry sisters, forbidden fruit and all. Then green-splosion happens, and he meets Cassandra instead, and caught a little bit of stardust in his eyes.

 

Perfect.

I'm thinking for the first playthrough going for female dwarf warrior but considering who I want to keep in my party I may have to switch her class same with my Dwarf Rogue. I have quite a lot planned though, two qunari mages one male one female three dwarfs two female one male how well the classes plays out determines if I have two rogues or two warriors and a  female elf going to be either rogue or mage. So far no humans planned yet.

I don't give a toss what some character in my party is, if they're awesome they're tagging along.

 

I don't play DA games on high difficulties, so I've got the comfort of bringing whoever I find fun without need for necessities.
