Human seems to have the most in depth backstory, so I'll be using my good old trusty two handed straight arrow warrior.

I think I answered this, so I'll add something to my original reply.
I really hope my Dalish Inquisitor can keep a Dalish type of style when it comes to her armor.. The Dalish in Dragon Age 2 didn't wear shoes, and I thought that was so bad-ass, cute.. Fenris didn't wear shoes either technically, so it might be a general Elf thing? I would really like to go with the feet cover thing, that Fenris and Merrill had in DA2 for my Elf.. and that's what im hoping is possible.

I'm trying to think of how I'd set up which Hawke goes with which Warden, and which Inquisitor.
Belorfin Tabris (city elf male) -> Jeffrey Hawke (male warrior) -> elf warrior inquisitor
Jeffrey Cousland (human noble male) -> Victoria Hawke (female mage) -> dwarf warrior inquisitor
Victor Surana (elven mage male) -> Anya Hawke (female rogue) -> elven mage inquisitor
However, I cannot iron out the fine details of my inquisitor's backstory, personality, motivations, apparance, or weapons until I get my hands on the game and become more familiar with it. It's like with DA:O, where the origin stories (and the descriptions of those stories on the character creation screen) helped me mold my characters. My characters are pretty deep, lol.

I'm a little conflicted honestly. I've rolled with being a human in the first two games, but part of me is leaning towards elf this time. I guess I will wait until release to feel what is striking my fancy.
Race: Human/Elf?
Class: Rogue (always)
Gender: Male

two handed weaponry, favoring battleaxes.
either a human or dwarf male.
will be direct but snarky when the time is right.
Rift mage.
Dalish female. Will be good and kind (think matethari). Romance will be either sera or solas. Will use spells of stone, ice and lightning. Plant too if we have the opportunity.
Male human Knight enchanter. The spec totally suits the background Imo. Looking at Cassandra, Scribbles or Vivienne as my LI.
Qunari Necromancer. Lightning, flame and necromancy will make up this sorcerers deadly arsenal. Necromancy is just the icing.
will be direct due to the mercenary background.
All subject to change, however the Reaver is a definite. And most probably be my first or second play through.

Hoping that the Templar specialisation is still there...
First playthrough RPG as a female human warrior, most likely two-handed sword (flaming sword of Andraste
), long red hair, green eyes, wicked sense of humour. She'll be pro-Chantry, but more into spirituality than dogma. No she won't be trying to convert people. Believes in more freedom for mages but under supervision. Hates all misuse of Templar power.

Probably going Male Human Mage first. I like to play as myself in my first playthroughs, so he'll most likely be a bookish, nerdy Mage who was forced into the war and believes that the Circle and Templars are necessary, they just need some tweaking. He'll be ruthless when he has to be, but generally kind and helping of the needy. Thinking of either Necromancer or Rift Mage, but I'll have to see more on them.

Second character will be a male elf, warrior, [appearance unknown at this time], heavy armor, longsword & steel shield.
If I make a third character, it will probably be a human male, mage, black goatee/chinbeard, long hair, flowing robes, lightning magic.

Uhm... I think it's faster if I name what I will not play.
Dwarf. Warrior.
Everything else ... I intend to. Just maybe not all combinations.
I'll defintly make: A human male rogue. A qunari male mage. A female human or elf rogue. A male elf mage and maybe a male elf rogue. That's all I can say at this point. The male elf mage will be focusing on ice of all the elements first andn earth second - if the skills are similar to what I'm used to from past games.
