Probably sword and board templar.
Played a Dalish archer in DA1 and an elementalist mage in DA2
What race, gender, appearance, and class of character do you plan to play in DA:I?

Moods change, but currently thinking a female of some sort. Probably mage, but I dunno.

Female dagger rogue or possibly warrior tank or two-hander.
It really depends on the companions classes and the kind of party make up I'll want.

Male mage or rogue. Which depends entirely on what they do to the classes.

I usually play as a rogue. Always had the temptation to use a mage, but in the end I always end using a rogue. I like open every crate to find things.
My prefer character in DA:O where a shy famale rogue City Elf and a sarcastic male Dwarf castless.
and my only hawke was a lady rogue

I side with the mages, my Warden was a mage, my Hawke a rogue supporting mages, and in DA3 I'll play female mage. Might be fun, knowing there will be some sort of inquisition.

This is me everytime I play the game. At least for the first playthrough. I enjoy a mages' gameplay more. But I like the idea of a rouge better I guesss. I like to be the one who get to open crates and discover things. To bad there's no crossclass like Shaddow Mage or something lol

Yeah...a rouge mage would be my perfect class...

All of them. Usually I first play a rogue because stealth/ranged is my "natural" kind of gameplay (that rogues are the only ones who can detect traps and pick locks is a factor too). But after my canon rogue Warden and canon mage Hawke, I might just have a canon warrior in DA3. For variety.

Honestly it depends on where they take the different classes. If they return pickpocketing and stealth nothing on Thedas will be able to stop me from making my first PC a rogue. Otherwise I'm likely to go with a mage first, so I can do any required healing myself and can't be forced into have a mage companion along all the time.

Well my first character in DA:O was a Warrior, and in DA2 it was a Mage, so it seems only right the my first Inquisition character be a Rogue.
But I might change my mind, I was initially planning to play a mage in Origins til I saw the City Elf origin and it captured my imagination more. I always play a female first though.
I will play the other classes and gender later. (assuming the game is as enjoyable at the previous ones)

I might continue the tradition of a heroic rouge(DAO/DA2), but I'm leaning towards something different maybe a mage.

Heh I was just going to apply the same logic, although for me it would mean playing a Mage in DA3 (rogue in Origins, warrior in DA2). It's never a sure thing though, so who knows.

My canon character in DA:O was Arturo Cousland (adopted son of Byron & Eleanor Cousland), male dual-wield rogue.
My canon character in DA II was Garrett Hawke, ditto on the dual-wielding rogue path and big fan of the purple (humorous/charming) responses.
As you've no doubt noticed I'm partial to male dual-wielding rogues and will definitely contiune that route if it is offered in DA III. Why fix it if it ain't broken?

I always try to picture my characters meeting each other. By that, I mean Warden, Hawke, and now the Inquisitor.
So I try to picture how good it would look with certain classes and such.

Well, assuming race comes back, I want to be a dwarf. Why? Because it's the only race I haven't played. In the first game I was an elf, and I was FORCED to play a human in the second. In the third, I think it would be fun to be a dwarf.
As for class, I was a mage in the last two games, and since dwarves can't do magics, I am going to be a rogue that would be an archer.
If I can't be a dwarf, I'll be a mage again, though.
