Depends on the classes present but I usually start as a rogue and then play all the other classes.

I will play female elf or human as a rouge, warrior or mage.  BUT a new class called Techne should be created with the ability to use technology, and telekinesis type magic but will use a weapon that is a flexible blade similar to a whip.

If the option is given, a Dalish mage. First to her clan, last of her clan after a Templar attack wipes them out. Is rescued by the Inquisition and recruited into the ranks. After much training, reaches the rank of Inquisitor.

Usually I use a rogue.

In DA3, I want to be again a rogue City Elf, specialization Assassin.

And for a second game, an Elf mage/assassin, if present that specialization. If not, I would like to try the Arcane Warrior.

I always play as a healer, so I guess a mage/spirit healer will be my choise again.. If it will be available, that is.

First play through will be rogue. Second will be a mage, and the third will be warrior. Any more after that depends on what I feel like playing.

It will entirely depend on the armor designs.

If I'm running around in dunce caps, dresses, and robes on a mage again, I'm going with a male warrior. If they actually allow me to wear armor on a mage again, then a male mage.

I can't stand the armor designs for mages but it's my favorite class to play. But my eyes end up bleeding looking at them...

An Elven mage-knight (aka Arcane Warrior). I always like throwing both spells around and slashing violently at my enemies with a sword.

I much prefer there not to be classes, though, so you can freeform your character with everything that is available.

Problem with creating your own class with an assortment of different abilities is that the moment you take a single magical ability your character becomes a mage.

Magic is too important to the plot of DA for custom classes, I think.

Perhaps there's a way to make it work, but I can't think of it at this time.

In Origins I played a Human Male Warrior. In DA2 I played Hawke as my Warrior with the diplomatic personality type. And DA3 will still be a warrior. I was never able to get through DA2 with a mage. Actually I was never able to even get through the game a second time.

Although I am replaying Origins with a Human Male Warrior. Than will replay DA2 with the Warrior and sarcastic personality type (this fits me better.) I want to do a female rogue and redo my mage character.

Always female rogue first. I need to be able to open locks I don't like switching characters unless I absolutely have to and I get a bit annoyed if I can't get ALL THE LOOT!

I always play female rogue on the first run, but I will eventually end up playing all classes, genders, and (hopefully) races.
