What race, gender, appearance, and class of character do you plan to play in DA:I?

With DA2 I flopped around drastically as more information was leaked - originally I was a dual-wield warrior but then...no more dual-wield! Okay, so then I was a rogue...but that means Carver dies, apparently! FINE, a mage, then.
From what we know, mages seem to still be at the center of a lot of the conflict (if not the main conflict) so I probably will stick with "mage" as my answer thus far.

^I wish they weren't to be honest, as that was my least favorite side plot in DAO. haha

No worries, they have not. This is just us fans tossing ideas and opinions for now.

Definitely a mage, mainly because its my favorite, but especially because of all the potential drama.

Going for that Rogue, most likely anyway i'll have to see how they take combat and see what looks the best to me, still holding out for being able to punch people to death for I would take that up in any form should it become available. Then again Rogues are due for some main character love, given the stoic warrior warden and mage hawke sort of semi canon-ish characters going on.
Though saying that Mage warden and Rogue Hawke laugh at their canonical selves.

Technically, no. classes have not been announced. However, unless we hear otherwise, it's safe to assume it will still be the standard three-class system from the previous games.

I'll probably stick with the same kind of character I usually play in Dragon Age games:
A female DPS/Healer Mage

I tend to choose based on the suggestion from the trailers i.e. the Warrior Warden and Mage Hawke. They were fun stories so I trust that the the new one will be equally as fun. Hopefully we get a rogue though.

If crossbows return for the PC... I might actually stray away from a mage and create a 'Witch Hunter' Inquisitor who uses a crossbow to strike down blood mages, demons and what not.

Mage, at first. Then I'll be a rogue, not sure if dual wield or bow/crossbow(?), yet.

That depends. I generally play a rogue my first time through a game, but the way Bioware is going with this game, we're going to find out next that we'll all be forced to play as mages for story purposes.

Mage is always my pick.
But I'm still hoping we might have more class freedom than the standard old three.

unless the story really sucks, I plan on playing all classes... most likely in this order, Warrior, Rogue, Mage, DPS Warrior....

I've played a male two-handed warrior in both DA:O & DA2 so same for DA3:I
I'm assuming I'll have enough mages & rogues but I like to go into a fight swining & taking charge!
For a specialization Champion if it's brought back or Reaver but hopefully something new & skillful

Assuming the game is at least, or about as good as DA:O; all of them starting with a rogue.
If not, probably just the rogue.
M/F, it doesn't matter. I usually just randomly pick one, than switch it up for the next character.

I was planning to play an elf mage.
Now I'm planning to replay Origins when DA3 comes out.

Yeah, just in case there's someone out there who doesn't know yet(I'd be surprised), DA3 is having a human protagonist with no choice of elves or dwarves like DAO.

I start all my DA game playthroughs as a human sword and shield warrior with a braid and goatee. He's my test character, to get a feel for the first few chapters and help me decide how to build my first serious character. (although in the end I usually finish his playthrough)
