ok... I usually play a battle/mage type character if available.. In DA:O and DA2 I played them all...
absolutely enjoyed my dual-wielding warrior in DA:O and pretty much liked my Mage in DA2..
heh heh so give me a dual-wielding battle/mage :)

I start all my DA game playthroughs as a human sword and shield warrior with a braid and goatee. He's my test character, to get a feel for the first few chapters and help me decide how to build my first serious character. (although in the end I usually finish his playthrough)

That is an interesting way of getting used to a game.

the class that reminds me the least of Tekken. In DA2 that was the mage. so i will be going for that one in DA3, if the combat isn`t changed.

Mage. I run my companions on scripts 95% of the time. I can do that with fighters and rogues. Mages take more micromanging than most so that is what I play.

Female Mage since I prefer mages but I'll also roll a female rogue too.

Always mage first, then two rogues, first archer, then dual wield. Then lastly, if ever, sword and board warrior. Never 2handed.

Dual hand axe wielding dwarven beserker would be my choice.

Oh, nevermind, I'll be a human tank, healer or dps. I can't really get more specific, but I am sure the specifics of my class choice will be narrowly defined for me.

I'm curious if and how they'll change the way classes work. There was quite a big difference between DAO and DA2 on that front, for example.

Hmm~ I usually always play Warrior first, then Rogue and Mage last. I will continue that pattern until I find one I like.

A rogue will more than likely be my first play through. I hope they have the backstab skill back but with less exploding corpses. It'd also be cool if they gave rogues a counter attack skill(if you've played Dragon's Dogma, something like Masterful Kill, pretty sure it was called that, that the Assassin could get)

Mage.

Why? They're the most powerful. Offer cool customization options. I get to ****** off Templars. I get to silently look down on non mages. They rule what is probably the most badass country in Thedas,Tevinter. Also mages of tons of options for cool/unique specializations.

I just can't play a Warrior, and Rogue. I just feel so weak not being able to summon lightning from the sky, form a skin of rock to protect me, or heal myself at a whim.

When I'm a warrior I'm like.. "Man I could have just cast Horror(Despair)/Crushing Prison/Blood Control instead of running all the way to that guy..", or "Ooh the enemy is all huddled together! Time to stun them, and hit them with a Firesto... Oh right. I'm playing a warrior. Guess I'll just control Merill for a while..".

I just feel so flexible, and powerful as a mage. Healing, Single Target DPS, Ranged AOE, Close AOE. Control, Tanking(If speced a certain way). No other class is right for me.

Lastly their outfits just seem to be getting progessively better.

As it turned out my Warden was a warrior and Hawke was a rogue so it might be cool for the Inquisitor to be a mage. Thing about being a mage in DA though is that it's political, and I like characters who are objective and neutral. Don't want to be accused of any mage-bias when I side with mages. If I do a mage I think I would have to be a revolutionary-type character in the vein of Aldenon.

A Jack of all Trades. And I really hope Bioware will abandon the horribly restrictive classes and make that possible. DA:O was bad in that regard, DA2 horrible!

I'm sort of hoping I won't have to pick any of the three classes offered in the last two games. I'm hoping they retire the tired mage-warrior-rogue options we've had since Dragon Age: Origins, and instead maybe give us new options like 'Templar', 'Seeker', and 'Mage Loyalist' or, if not that, offer us a fourth class option finally.

Warrior. I like to be right in the middle of the action and I'd rather be my own tank than have to pick someone else to do it. Even further to that I feel I get a better sense of neutrality in things considering how every game has had some kind of quarrel about magic.
