I imagine it wouldn't be a unilateral thing - like a large number would abandon the Chantry and others would remain loyal.

In Dragon Age: Origins my canon Warden was a Male Human Noble

In Dragon Age II my canon Hawke was a Female Mage

I eventually got around to playing with the others, but in this game my canon character will be a Male Rouge.

My first character will most likely be a female rogue because it is my favorite. Though I always end up playing all three classes at least once. Usually all female.

Depends on the story. I tend to play as a warrior but mage would be cool in the current settings. Will probably go with a male character.

Warrior - two handed beserker to start with after that i probbobly would go for mage but i intend to try all classes

Warrior...Either as a Berserker or a Reaver depending on how the specialization works in game.
Im the guy Screaming "Blood for the Blood God", "Skulls for the Skull Throne" at the top of my lungs as i wake away at enemies with huge sword. Good times.

Female Rogue. Played a stereotype human male warrior in DA:O and a stereotype male mage in DA2 so I'm gonna try to get as much variety in as I can, as restricted as I an to humans...

Im not sure. While i plan for a warrior (sword/dagger human male noble rogue in DA:O, mage male in DA2) it really depends on what wepon i can get my hands. I've come to the conclusion that if i can't get a spear or more importently a polearm, then i won't be playing warrior, unless for some achievments on the xbox.

Edit: if they included hand crossbows i would go with that!
