Depending on DA3's replay value I plan to eventually play as all of the classes available. I'll play first as a mage and see if I want to play through again.

For Origins I was a warrior. For Dragon Age 2 I went with a mage and I actually really liked the combat that the mages had in DA2, in DA:O the mage combat seemed really slow for me, hopefully the combat style for the mages stay similar to DA2. I'm thinking of being a rogue for DA3.

My main in DA:O was a Rogue, my main in DA2 was a mage, so I guess in DA3 I'll be a warrior...

Either a mage or a rogue. Specializing in either entropy, force or elemental magic, and being an archer if rogue. Warrior would be my last choice and I would prefer using a double handed weapon to a sword and shield.

Mage, hands down. My first Warden was a Mage and is my favorite of all the origin stories. I also played as a Mage first in DAII. A very sarcastic Mage, mind you. My mage Warden was polite, perhaps too polite. I definitely will play DA3 first as a Mage. I like the idea that my characters are all mages which is pretty ironic in my opinion.

For a first run though, I will either play as a rogue so I can see what's in all the treasure boxes, or I will embrace the craziness as a blood mage. Hopefully, a blood mage that can romance a specific templar. Ohh la la!

Assuming I buy the game...Since my canon Warden was a warrior and my canon Hawke was a mage i'd be looking towards a rouge for my canon character.haven't decided on the gender yet

Always Rogue. I didn't need to be a mage in Origins because I had Morrigan ALL the time. In DA2 because I didn't want Bethany to die plus I had her and Merrill in the party and as for Oghren, Sten and Aveline to occupy the warrior's spot.

My first character in Origins was a male warrior dwarf and my main was a male rogue elf. In DA2 both my original and main ended up being male rogues. This time around I think I'll start off with a male 2H warrior then female dual wield rogue and finally I'll try a male healing mage.

In DA:O I was a mage to begin with, but needed a rogue to unlock chests- Wasn't fond of Leliana though and was even less fond of Zevran.
Eventually abandoned that character and started anew as a Dual-Wielding tank rogue.
Partnered up with Wynne, Morrigan and Sten/Alister.
Easily my most successful playthrough.
In DA2 I was a mage and had Isabella, Merrill and Fenris, who all of which proved to be pretty good in terms of combat ability and personality- So I kept on going with the mage, which was just as well, because Anders is a stupid punk who just cries all the time and I just GUTTA have two mages in the team.

So I guess I'll be whatever is lacking in DA:I in terms of companions.
Once I find out, of course. So as usual, I'll probably be a mage to begin with.

However, if there was even the slightest possibility of being Kossith, I'm immediately being a Qunari Mage. Unless it's blocked out like Dwarves and magic in DA:O :c

Doubt there'll be any other races anyway, so oh well lol.

Definitely a Mage first up like the other 2 games. Loved my rogue in DA:O, could not stand the class in DA2 (I felt like the Road Runner... zipping around, it was ridiculous).

Archer maybe... "if I get a bowstring for crying out loud".

I always do my first playthrough on any RPG as the most rogue-like character I can play. Something about the playstyle of that character type is highly appealing to me.

Might go Archer style, I found that to be interesting and fun in both games, but I'll most probably go dual-wielding. Will decide after getting more information about class abilities and mechanics.
