Male Greatsword Warrior - Dark or evilist path if something like that exist.
Female Mage - Saintly type of playthru on my 2nd
Female Rogue - mix of the early ones on my 3rd.
What race, gender, appearance, and class of character do you plan to play in DA:I?

I played a dual dagger rogue in DA:O and an archer rogue in DAII. I'll be playing another rogue in DA:I but I'll be waiting to see which appeals to me more, daggers or the bow.

I played a dual weapon Rogue in Origins and a Mage in DAII seeing as in both games the other two classes on offer sucked. If Warriors are any better in DAIII then I'll give them a go.

All of them as a female protagonist.

I used to start with archer characters, but DA:O broke me of that tradition. Now I start with DW (warrior or rogue) in DA games; I feel like I have the best control over the battlefield. Gender will depend on open-mindedness of romanceable NPCs.

I'll flip a coin between DW Rogue and S&S Warrior for a first playthrough.

If I buy it (which is most probably not going to happen, I don't want Origin and I am almost certain it's going to force me to go Origin) then I am torn between Male Mage and Male shield-Warrior...

I always like to play the 'canon' characters (ie. the ones in the trailers). So in DA:O I played a male human noble warrior, and in DA2 I played default male Hawke mage.

I quite enjoyed playing a mage in DA2, especially because it related so much with the ongoing plot/conflict with the templars. I imagine much will be the same in DA:I, so I plan to again roll a female mage as my main.

I played a dual-wield rogue in DA:O and took the same character through Awakenings. In DA2 I went for dual-wield rogue for the first playthrough but ended up preferring force mage, my 2nd character. So it's between those two for DA3.

^ This. Or just allow me to use a bow with any of my characters, at will. I don't ask for much, really!LPPrince wrote...

Rogue or mage, probably rogue. Rogue is favorite class in both games.

My first playthrough of DAO was as a mage, more out of curiosity regarding their role in the setting rather than because I like playing a mage. My completionist run through the game was a human female noble, who wore medium armor and dual-wielded swords(or was it sword/dagger?). Basically, she wanted to be Duncan
I found the rogue to be much more fun than the mage in DAO.
I only fully played through DA2 once, and I was a male human mage. Again, I chose this option because I wanted to see what being a mage was like storywise, this time as an apostate. My female rogue made it to the beginning of Act 3, but I lost steam(mainly because I found it impossible to empathize with the templar POV).
In DAI I'll probably be a mage or a rogue again. Warriors just bore me.

Ironically I also made it to Act 3 in my second DA2 playthrough before I just gave the hell up. hah
Hopefully DA3 allows more replayability. NG+ would help, so I can keep using my preferred class and character again and again.

In DAO, I played as a female Dalish DW-warrior; in DA2, a female 2h-warrior. In DAI, I will probably mix it up and play as a male mage, as much as I love being a BAMF lady-killer.

If DA: 3 would bring back dual wielding warrior, i would play that.
Then rogue.
Then mage.
Then rogue.
Then mage.

I always start with a rogue. Simply because... there might be a whole area to go through in which I can't open a locked chest. And so help me if I miss that one elfroot or set of gloves I can't use, I'll spew.
And I like to disarm traps.
I usually go duel wielder but I'll see how archery looks I suppose.
