Female dwarf warrior, probably lawful good since my dwarf in DA:O was more on the ruthless side.
What race, gender, appearance, and class of character do you plan to play in DA:I?

Bonus to magic? Hmm.
I'll admit I hope they keep the elven bonus to magic.
Partly because it's been established in the lore that elves have a greater affinity for magic than humans (it's even mentioned in DA2), and partly to make elves more desirable. Most of DA:O's 15% of elven protagonists were apparently mages, ostensibly to reap the magic bonus, so I would hate to think how the number might drop without that bonus.
I hope I'm just being paranoid, but it's something I worry about...

If I play an elf, I wonder if I'd step out of my comfort zone and go mage, or go rogue instead.
Dunno about an elven warrior. I already played a warrior in DAO, so I'd like to try something different.

I would made my definitive decision once we know the last names of the inquisitors. If there is a Tabris, I don't think I could resist. and the cousin of my main Warden would see the light.

Female elven mage. Hopefully an arcane warrior if that specialization is available.

I have two different canons going (more if I can import directly from DAO): my first had a male dwarf commoner dual-wielding rogue in DAO and a male mage in DA2, and I'm thinking about starting with either an male elven rogue or a male elven mage. My second canon will continue with a third female human warrior. Hopefully, there'll be enough replay value that I can then start playing around with other combinations.

I've just got my one import. Gotta deal with what I got.

Male elf archer/rogue
Preferably something NOT "city" or "Dalish" ... something different.

Male Human or Elf Rogue (Dual Weapon, Assassin, sometimes Duelist too)
Male Elf Mage (Cold, Telekinesis, Debilitation, Draining), never specialized for some reason

I enjoy playing elven rogues, and my sibs like dwarven warriors and human Circle mages best

I must admit that I didn't know there was such as a thing as bonus to magic by playing an elf? Interesting. Even if there were no bonus, I'd surely be playing a female elven mage and love every second of it. I am, however, tempted to try additional runthroughs as something else just to see if there is a big difference to it. I liked the varied backstories in DAO which really were a great way to get the most out of the game but if they changed the entire experience according to gender and race? Now that would make for a LOT of extra hours of gaming.Faerunner wrote...

Human, female, warrior.
I don't particularly care for race selection. I might try out a female elven rogue if the mood hits me.
