I don't think I'll ever play a 2 handed weapon specialist.
We'll see.
What race, gender, appearance, and class of character do you plan to play in DA:I?

Two-handed was uh. Not very exciting to play in DA:O. But I didn't know that! And I liked all the OTHER stuff enough so much, I didn't mind too much. Two-handed in DA2 was a hoot. I am hoping for more hoots to be had in DA3.

Archery was fun in DA2, but I'm biased. I didn't really do it much in DAO. I let Leliana do it though with Marjolaine's Bow.

I DA2 I was a female human mage first.
In DA:O I was a Female City Elf Warrior first, and the dwarven origins were among my top 3 favourite origins.
So in DAI I'll start with a Female Dwarfish Rogue.

Archery in DA2 was probably my favorite, which was a pleasant surprise given how awful it was in DA:O. <3
I am one of the people who thought DA2's combat was way more fun than DA:O's, though, which I am pretty sure puts me in the minority. But I won't act like they killed my cats if DA3's combat is much more DA:O-y, at least!

DA2's combat in my opinion was way too fast paced. Needs to slow down. DAO- too slow. DA2- too fast.
But they'll put it somewhere in the middle this time, I believe.

Probably human male warrior like I played in DA:O and DA2. I'll eventually try the other classes I believe, and maybe another race or gender, but I usually stick with my male human warrior type. Vanilla, I know, but it's what makes me happy.
Not decided if I'm gonna go two-handed or sword and shield though. Will probably depend on what warrior companion you come across first in the story.

Either female Human Rogue or Female Human warrior starting off, depending on my canon Hawke.

Female elven mage, I always start as a mage character on my first playthrough as I did in DA:O and DA2.

Might try a female elven mage.

My first playthrough has to be a warrior. I have no idea what specialization(s), gender, or race this warrior will have, BUT it will be a warrior.

The more I think about it, the more I think Female Elven Mage (with long hair and bare feet) and Female Dwarven Warrior (who often uses her chain to pull disrespectful people down to eye level).
Maybe also a Female Elven Warrior and a Female Dwarven Archer to subvert stereotypes, but we'll see.

With the recent announcement of playable elves and dwarves, I feel both compelled and obligated to go with either dwarf or elf. I will surely play a human at some point in the future, but I want Bioware to see that the alternative race options are being put to good use. I will probably go with Male Elf Archer for my first character.

Human, female, rogue, blades. Human because I always play my first run through as a human, female because I prefer playing my gender, rogue because I like being able to open all the chests, and blades because I prefer being in thick of battle rather than shooting enemies with arrows from a distance.

So long as we're not forced to be Dalish, totally want to roll a male elf mage, then a ? human mage, (because
mages), and then a female dwarf non-mage (
) to see all of the race based content.

I'll play all of the classes and races, but I'll probably play human mage first.

So do we know yet whether elves in DA: I will be barefooted or not?
Because I'd rather not, personally.
