Female Rogue Dwarf. If Varric really is romanceable, she'll be the perfect fit for him.

(Not that I choose the class intentionally for him, My Warden was a dwarven rogue and I'd like to keep up the fine tradition if I can.)

Will also have to Make an Elven Warrior, haven't played one of them yet.

That would require specializations like Arcane Warrior to be available.

And let me tell you- Arcane Warrior is THE most popular specialization.

Because it is so overpowered it is ridiculous, or was in the other games.  I hate that class.

:(

If he is romanceable and only to dwarven players, I can see that increasing the percentage of people who play them.

Gives Krogan Blood Rage a whole new meaning.

But seriously, when's that Dragon Age/Mass Effect crossover game coming out! Jack will be even more fun when she can turn people into toads before squashing them like a bug

5% suddenly goes to 98% overnight. Those of us among the original 5% will glare down at the poser hoards as we drink from our hipstery dwarven goblets of goodness.

Female archer rogue. It's tradition.

Race depends on whether race choices offer any bonuses to archery style characters. Probably means elf in the end.

Yeah, I don't think humans or dwarves are gonna have any archery-esque bonuses over say elves.

Ooh, I wonder when we'll find out what the character names will be for each race.

Human, male, I will try to make the appearance be as close as to my real-life one as possible, and warrior of course.

Well, it depends on how the protagonist role is presented. Right now I'm thinking a male elf as it's the only race I haven't really gone with before.  Possibly a rogue.  More than likely, though, I'll headcanon a human male of some sort.  I have not had much luck playing mages in this series, especially considering the political climate in-game.  Perhaps DA:I will present an opportunity to rise above the circumstances a player-mage finds themselves in that will help alleviate some of the hopelessness I experienced playing a human female mage in Dragon Age: Origins in my first play-through (forever colouring my view of Thedas in certain hues.)

I'm definitely excited about the possibilities given the options available in DA:I!

Human Male Mage
Elf Female Rogue
Dwarf Male Warrior
Male Qunari Warrior
Elf Female Mage
Dwarf Female Silent Sister if available

in that order unless SS is really there, she would be my 2nd run!

in that order

I hope the Character Creator, for the console versions, will make it easy for us to create good looking characters that are close in quality to the default faces.

Yeah, with plenty of options and hopefully the opportunity to save them for re-use later if NG+ isn't a feature.

in terms of the story, I hope they don't try to box the Inquisitor to be a dark/shadowy character by default.

normally, I try to make my characters noble and good.

hopefully, you are given the freedom to shape the Inquisition how you want it to be.  if you want to operate in the shadows.....fine.

but if you want the organization to operate in the open and be about restoring "order" to the land or rooting out corruption,  you should be able to do that, too.

By the sounds of it, thats just what we'll get to do, regardless of what we make our character to be.
