Plan to start with a female human mage. Depending on how the story goes will likely also play a female human warrior, and also a female elf, either mage or rogue. Appearance obviously will depend on what Bioware offers. I'll make use of a ton of mods, too, no doubt.

First play through as a human female warrior, the next time as a human male warrior, then possibly as an elven female rogue. I don't usually enjoy playing as a mage. I prefer up in your face combat and generally you have to stay too far back from the action as a mage.

I've never played a female, but that elven woman looks so incredibly beautiful I might not resist...

But more than likely though, elven male or human male. Depends on whichever I can make hotter! Ahahah

A qunari male isn't out of the question if they make it into the character selection. We'll see.

Yeah, I've never had issues playing female characters even though I'm a dude.

Most likely female Elven Warrior.

May change my mind if the M/M romance options are any good.

Male elf rogue with red hair (please allow facial tattooing, I loved that stuff!) or more androgynous-looking female elf mage, just for kicks.

A dwarf rogue will be my first playthrough and my canon. Don't know if I'll play as a male or female yet. I'll probably play a female elf mage the most though.

Still hasn't changed. Elves are skinny and emo and dwarfs are short and fat.

Male, human, 2H warrior.

2nd playthrough will be male, human, rogue probably.

I'm currently leaning toward playing a female dwarf templar with violently anti-mage tendencies. She wasn't raised Andrastian, but she has the convert's zeal.

Why would a dwarf be anti-mage? Aren't they magic resistant or some such?

Same reason everyone is anti-mage, mages are dangerous.

so, I've recently discovered the web series RWBY (LPPrince, I see you're a fan, too, with your Weiss avvy! ). I really like Yang and her fighting style.

That's fitting cuz I tend to create blonde, female, sword and shield warriors in these types of RPGs.

Like Yang, I just like to go in and kick the crap out of everything!!

RWBY Thread

Yeah, I mentioned earlier I'm thinking about trying to create a girl that looks like Yang, as far as blonde hair and lilac eyes go.

hey, thanks for the link to the RWBY thread!!

I'll still keep my warrior's eyes blue, but I'm a sucker for blondes........lol

and if we get a refined, elegant Duelist/Rapier-style of warrior, I might create a more refined warrior like Weiss. but blonde..........and not as b****y........lol

and I'll make everyone in Thedas call my Inquisitor "Sir!"  and I'll take all the tiny umbrellas!!  Posted Image

Yeah, based on someone else's idea I'm also considering trying to make someone with the whole white hair blue eyed look, basically Weiss.

A definite no on the attitude though, hah.

But the dwarves are resistan to magic and the skies breaking are kind of a "surface problem". How does a dwarf get enough exposure to mages to make of it his/her personal crusade?

No offense, I'm actually curious on how you'll treat it.

A dwarf from the underground dwarven cities could hear stories about mages.

Because they aren't directly exposed to them, they wouldn't have first hand experience to realize that they aren't all totally off their rocker.

Thus, the anti-mage reaction/sentiment. Not hard to headcanon it.

Dwarf brought up and raised with the anti-mage attitude, then sees them above ground and surmises that they are as bad as he/she's heard(Kirkwall).

Not hard.

yeah, not a fan of Weiss' attitude. hopefully it changes in future episodes. I figured she'd be more of the "reserved/quiet" type like Blake, based on her trailer.

but Weiss' fighting style in her trailer was just plain sick!!!

but in the DA world, it looks like we'd need to get some kind of hybrid mage-warrior/rogue class to pull of Weiss' mix of "magic" and melee.

Bioware!!!  Make it happen!!
