My main DA:O Warden was a female sword/shield warrior, and my main DA2 Hawke was a spirit healer mage.

I'm thinking double knife rogue will be a perfect main character for DA3 :3

I'll probably play as a mage in my first playthrough (my first playthrough in DAO and DA2 were a dual-wielding warrior and a two-handed weapons warrior). Though I'll switch to warrior if Bioware announces the return of dual-wielding warriors.

Male Rogue (because i like to do it from behind sorry for the lame innuendo)
Probably inhereted from other games revolving around stealth and assassinations,
it feels more exciting playing as fragile yet kicks like a mule class.

In both previous games I played rogue first. I finished DA:O with a sword and shield warrior once and after playing DA2, with an Arcane Warrior mage. I played DA2 exclusively as a DW rogue, because it was more challenging and in fact the only class playable tactically in DA2 (with a party, of course). Tried warrior and mage in DA2 but was really boring.
About DA3 I will start as rogue. I will try warrior or mage only in case of useful changes in talents and combat mechanics compared to DA2.

I'm currently caught in a rut deciding between a Male Mage or a Male Warrior. I think the availability of dual wielding as a warrior will be the decision that sways my first playthrough of DA3. If it's there, Warrior all the way. If it isn't, well then Mage it is.

Female mage first, then female rogue.

After that, any combination of female/male mage/rogue/warrior. If there are options, I will have to try everything as an elf first. They're just my favourites.

Something like the Radiant Knights from The Way of Kings? That would have been just awsome! And some similar powers...
But it's impossible in DA3 because of (I suppose) copyright rules.

First, with any luck I'll play as an elf Arcane Warrior. Cause that's how I roll! Then probably move onto a Human warrior, crush some skulls whilst dual wielding long swords. Never a rouge though.... N.E.V.E.R. I hate those sneaky little...

I plan to play warrior and mage and definitely male and female. My first pt will def be a male warrior though so I can get a feel for the game.

That's funny, because I typically don't play mage classes. Especially in Dragon Age because I liked the mage/templar story from DAO the least out of all the plot threads going on(you can imagine my feelings on DA2 then).

Yet in Kingdoms of Amalur, I played a Shadowcaster(Mage/Rogue hybrid). So I MAY give mages a chance in DA3.

What with my playing a warrior in DAO and a rogue in DA2.
