I'm thinking sword actually. Or bow, to keep things interesting.
Crossbow, I am thinking of using that if there are good weapon selections with that item when I go to make my other characters.
Usually keep my eye out on stuff I can probably find again for other characters I have planned out.

Most likely:
Human | Female | Rogue
Elf | Male | Mage
Dwarf | Female | Warrior

Second: Female Elven Primal Mage; likely my own antithesis. Fiery red hair in whatever style looks good to me in CC, though likely a medium length loose cut. Striking green eyes, hopefully some awesome facepaint or tattoos. Much more pragmatic and stern than myself, often taking the "opposite" choice of my first run.
Third: Dwarven 2H warrior of undecided gender. Smartass, a lot of 'neutral' or self-serving choices.
Other ideas will surely some to me while playing for further playthroughs but definitely this order first, though I can reasonably assume my fourth class will be dual-wield rogue.

Second will most likely be a rogue mainly because I never play a rogue and this time, I really should try it out.
Third who knows, a third playthrough really depends on the game replayability.

However I plan on a dwarven rogue or fighter depending on abilities and specs. In addition to my evil icy sorceress Marzanna/ Morana, my elven Mage who'll hopefully have access to nature and primal magic, and a human male Mage who likes to be more tactical (power build haha )

1. City Elf Female Rogue (Daggers) - Female Rogue Hawke (Bow) - Female Dwarf Rogue (Undecided)
2. Human Female Mage (Healing) - Female Mage Hawke (Destructive) - Male Qunari/Elf Mage (Undecided)
3. Castless Female Warrior (Dual Wield) - Male Warrior Hawke (S&S) - Female Qunari/Elf Warrior (Undecided)
4. H. Noble Male Warrior (S&S) - Male Mage Hawke (Healing) - Male (Undecided) Rogue (Undecided)
First playthrough, I aimed for all my characters being essentially Neutral. Hawke was Sarcastic, and I'm probably doing the same with the Inquisitor. In Origins I made Alistair remain as a Grey Warden, and Anora is Queen, and I romanced Alistair with Morrigan carrying his child. In DA2, I ended up going anti-mage and became the Vicount of Kirkwall, while romancing Fenris, my sister joined the mages and we had a strong friendship.
Second playthrough, was a little more evil. Killed Connor, made deals with demons, Loghain joined the Grey Warden and Alistair was exiled. Loghain died slaying the Arch Demon. In DA2, I romanced Anders and went heavy Mage, while still being a jerk the entire time. My brother joined the templars and we hated eachother.
Third playthrough, went good here. Helped everyone I could, saved them all. I romanced Zevran here, and ended up dying to kill the Arch Demon, and Alistair was made king. I made Hawke the definition of a goody two shoe, he helped everyone he could Mage or Templar, but in the end he sided with the Templars when Orsino resorted to Blood Magic. I romanced Isabella here, and my sister died in the deep roads.
Fourth Playthrough is what I consider my canon file. Started as my Human Noble, and went and made choices that I found best for Fereldan while ending the blight. I saved the mages in the tower, I helped the wolves and elves come to terms, I made Bhelen King of Orzammar as he was a bit more cruel, he had the stronger Orzammar. I saved Redcliffe and Loghain joined the Grey Wardens, with Alistair and Anora being the King and Queen. In DA2 I played Hawke as a smart ass Mage who wanted equal rights, he helped people and was well recieved but didn't like how Mages were treated. He ended up romacing Merril with his only real rivals being Fenris and Sebastian but they both came to terms with me. I ended up killing Anders for putting the mages in a tough spot, but sided with the Mages in the final battle when stuff hit the fan. My brother and I had a great friendship and he joined the Grey Wardens. Now with this one, I don't know what my Inquisitor will be. The trailers for Origins showed the Warden as a Warrior, while in DA2 Hawke was always shown as a Mage. So my Inquisitor will be whatever is shown in their trailers really.

As for male player characters, I kind of feel as though there are enough male heroes in the world of games and movies. They'll still be going strong without my help.

Right now I'm thinking .. Female Human Mage, Female Dwarf Warrior and Female Elf Rogue.
Though this could get shuffled around race-wise depending on which seems more interesting to me at the time. I'll definitely be doing all female (especially if LI's are all bi again) and a mage as first play through.
YES, Another Female Elf Rogue!

I feel like I should make a rogue as my "canon" Inquisitor since I did a warrior Warden and mage Hawke, but I just never enjoy rogue playthroughs. In fact, I've never finished a rogue Hawke and only have a single rogue Warden out of about 9 characters. I'll probably go with a warrior again.
Ha! I have the opposite problem. So many of my Wardens were rogues, and almost all my Hawkes were mages... I almost feel obligated to make my Inquisitor a warrior.
