I sort of feel my Inquisitor should be a rogue to even it all out, but I've never really enjoyed stealth and infiltration mechanics - I like to get up in the fight. With a warrior, you have the strength to last, and a mage has extremely high damage (and good healing if you play right) but a rogue has mid both. Maybe I'll give it a try, see how I like the style. If not, my Inquisitor will be a mage (that's my favourite). Human or elf will depend on the male LIs Either way, a good character who is mage > templar.

My plan is to go in the opposite way then what I did in DA:2
 So probably Male human rogue or mage first then female Elf rogue or mage depending on what I made my male.. Not sure If i'll play warrior.. to forward and never was that fun to me.

I was wondering what do they mean when they say :

going to point at the race thing, am stuck in seeing multiple race choice at the start of da3 which is kinda torturing. The stuff they usually say to make us buy their game :S

So anybody see other way to interpret this?

agreed (at least for now - i did the same with DA:O - but after doing it, i decided that all further re-plays will be mages (they are just the most interesting class IMHO) and i have never played a non-mage Hawke (the only "bonus" this gets you, is that Carver dies and Bethany gets to join you - at least that is how i see it!))

i just don't think the other classes are all that interesting (and in a world of magic, who honestly wants to be a non-mage? - well, i don't, even more, now that mages are FREE and INDEPENDENT)

Well, for the Race and Gender?

I will probably start out "nice" and play a human (not because i am human, but because the elven people are not the dominant species - hell they are looked at as second class citizens (at best!)...i wish that were different, because then i would never play a human!) as for the gender? - I will stick to my own: Male (i will be female when i replay the game then...well i wont, my PC will ^^)

I played both in Origins and DA2 a warrior, but i would very much like to be able to play a Qunari in DA:I but i don't know if they're going to make them a playable race :\\

I did quite a few play throughs of both games, but my favs were my female elven rogue El'Aelfyth in DA:O and my female rogue Saoirse Hawke in DA 2 (pretended she was an elf too).....guessing I'll probably be another female elven rogue if the multi-race choice is back. What can I say, I love being a knife-ear that can stab someone in the back before they see me coming.

I was originally thinking female human warrior or rogue, now am thinking male rogue for the lols.

Plan on having female human mage and female warrior in origins and 2, respectively.

My first Warden was a male elf Mage. My first Hawke was a male warrior. I think maybe my first inquisitor shall be a rogue. I should do a dwarf, but I'm just not feeling it yet. I'll change my mind 1000 times in the next year.

Specializations will probably be the deciding factor on what I choose first. It will either be a female elf mage or a female human rogue. Though I am really tempted to play a female dwarf if it's ever confirmed that Varric will be a love interest.

That armour looks singularly useless - the breatplate can at most protect the top half of his ribcage and will deflect all incoming blows towards the unarmoured throat.

Inquisitor F Dwarf, probably rogue. I love the new female Dwarf look - hope there are some good tattoos! x
