If all that should be covered...
Elven dame Rogue/Warrior, not quite decided yet.

:c I have no flavor.
No worries, it's the exact same with me![]()
Hehe human mage is my favourite too. I only play a warrior in Origins because I think the Cousland story works best - killing Howe is just so much more satisfying, and it makes the issues with Nathaniel in Awakening better too. I also like the reactivity you get with some of the nobles in Denerim.
I'm pretty sure I'll be going human mage in Inquisition - healer/primal again, I love that combination

After that I may try a Human Female Mage or a Dwarven Warrior, who knows.
I certainly like more the mages power or the amazing sets of armor of the warriors and their mighty blows... but I just find very annoying to find a chest that no one in the party is able to open. Or traps, I hate those things, they always appear where you less expect them, like stockings.
So, Rogue for me

Funny, that's the reason I think the City Elf story works best. =/
After Eamon calls the Landsmeet, returning to your home city makes it that much more dramatic, killing Howe (the guy that massacred and enslaved your people) is that much more satisfying, deposing Loghain (the guy that signed off on the slave-trading) has a more personal ring, and confronting the issues with Nathaniel is more personal, even if the game doesn't acknowledge it. (You can **** forever over whose family hurt whose more. "You killed my father." "Your father sold my father into slavery." "My family has been ruined since you killed him." "My family lost lives and loved ones to him." "Don't punish my family for my father's crimes." "Your father punished my family for my 'crime' of killing the last arl's son.")
Then there's the glorious feeling of walking into the Landsmeet as an elf who's lived under the heels of these nobles his or her entire life, only to finally step forward and make his or her voice heard. (And then there's the reactivity you get as an elf around some prejudiced nobles...)
I don't know, I feel like the City Elf is vastly over-rated and over-looked in terms of being integral to the end-game.

You're forgetting the dramatic home coming when the blight overruns the alienage and you're helping your people make a final stand.

Oh, thank you! I forgot about that. Still love how telling them to take cover basically results in them saying, "No, this is our home too! We're fighting with you!"

Will there be a brief description of each race/class and how people are likely to react to said race/class?

Maybe. I'm sure each race will have a slight description to aid new players in making decisions.
Because I doubt people will be equally comfortable with a Human Inquisitor and a Qunari Inquisitor.
