As I was already intending to play a mage:

Mage! In Pants!

Has to happen.

Mage. Unless we get a race selection and an origin choice with that which restricts available classes. Obviously dwarven mages are out of the question, but if the best elf origin, like in DAO, doesn't allow me to be a mage, I will have to be a rogue.

All of them! My canon playthrough was a DW Warrior in Origins and a mage in DA2. A rogue might fit the inquisitorial background rather well. It is almost impossible for me to dissociate any kind of 'inquisitor' with the inquisitors found in the 40k universe, and they seem kind of like rogues to me.

always start as a human male 2h warrior, then basically both genders, all classes, and the different weapon styles of each

I play all of them. I never limit myself to one class. That's boring.

I'll probably start with a warrior, and then maybe a rogue. I, for absolutely no logical reason what so ever, despise making my player character any kind of spell casting class in any RPG. I don't understand it but I learn to live with it. Unfortunately Carver payed the ultimate price for my problem.

If mage combat's like it was in 2 and they have decent outfits*not just dresses* and character reconize you're a blood mage then that.

Otherwise 2hd warrior and rogue.

That's if I buy it that is...

At first, a male or female S&S warrior with Templar Specialization.

I plan on doing all the possible combinations at some point.

I like mages and rogues, especially in the DA series. I have never been able to get into a warrior class/spec in any DA game.

Well, my "Canon" Warden, was a Sword and Board Warrior.
My "Canon" Hawke, was a Mage.

I have 4 Playthroughs, 1 of each class, and then my "Canon". My Canon Inquisitor will be whatever he's showcased as in the Trailers. Like, the Warden was a Warrior, and Hawke was a Mage.

Otherwise my general play through is like so:
Origins: DW Rogue - 2: Bow Rogue - 3: Rogue
Origins: Nuke Mage - 2: Support Mage - 3: Mage
Origins: DW Warrior - 2: W+S Warrior - 3: Warrior

I'll eventually end up playing every race/class/gender available during one of my (currently) eight run-throughs. But my canon character is always a female (human) mage.

So, female mage! Viva la revolucion!

I usually play all of them. Though if I get a chance and the game allows the mages to free themselves from Chantry oversight, I'll shoot for being the first Orlesian Magister. Lets hear it for Blood Magic.:)

A good Blood Mage, like my Warden. Which is why I'm hoping they go with the idea of one single, story-affecting specialisation instead of two specialisations that have absolutely no effect on the story.

Should I play it the first character would definitely be a male human sword&shield warrior. It's tradition.

Second would normally be a mage, but I broke with this tradition in DA2, because playing a mage was too stupid. Distant third, if the game was that replayable, would probably be a rogue archer.

It's the oddest thing, but I've grown more and more away from my roots of playing as nothing but warriors in role playing games.  In Origins, I was a dwarf warrior.  In the second game, I was a human (obviously) mage, so you know what I kind of want to play in the third game?  A rogue.  Maybe an elven rogue, if I'm so lucky.  Personality-wise? When I think of the word 'Inquisition', I think of a man or woman who is a bit ruthless, due to what real world Inquisitions come to mind, so I might actually have a 'canon' pragmatist and/or renegade character.

Yeah, I always used to play warriors, but in DA2 I played a rogue and in DA3 I may play a mage. Dunno.

I think it would be an interesting dynamic.

Mage and Rogue. Warrior if it doesn't suck. The reason I would differentiate between mage and rogue is because mage and non-mage get a different experience. Of the two non-mage classes, rogue has been better.
