However Qunari Mage would be pretty kick bum.
Most excited to role a dalish Mage, and hoping to make a human or Qunari battlemage type character.

Then again, Maybe I'll give a human or Dwarven warrior a try my first playthrough.
I'm a Mage / caster ( in me3 multiplayer I'm the guy that spams snap freeze or cryo blasts) type of character.
However, I'm thinking if I play as a warrior I get the be benefit of having the new Mage companions in my party and using them both as test dummies to try out the new spells. That way I should have a pretty good idea of how I would want to optimise my Mage.
Though as the dalish Mage was something I wanted since origins....it'll be hard not to do that straight away.
Of course my warrior will be using enchanted weapons ASAP.
And I can't wait to try the new frost spells. Vivienne's icy magic missile in the 30 min gameplay looks awesomesauce.

I know I'll be playing a female mage (elf or qunari- might depend on a coin flip), but I also had so much fun being a dwarven princess in DAO.
So many options!

I know I'll do multiple playthroughs and they will be:

 

1-Sassy, money grubbing dual wielding female Dwarf rogue.

2-Peaceful, nervous, somewhat cowardly male Elf healin' mage. 

3-Racist, cutthroat female Elf archer.

4-Grim, emotional male Qunari battlemage.

5-Passionate, heroic female Qunari 2H warrior.

6+-Whatever combination comes to mind based on playing the game previously.

 

???-A human to see what's different (unless it affects telemetry data which affects the next game)

I've really not decided yet. I'm waiting to see more info on companions and try to fit my Inquisitor into the gap. If they launch a demo or stand alone character creator before launch, I will no doubt spend hours playing with it until I narrow it down to a bit.

My first PT will be as a qunari female mage. Or, in case qunari female looks like she could dual wield 2H battle axes, an elf female.

I'm thinking Roy Greenhilt with a ruthless streak. Big, black, bald, wielding a sword of a size that properly implicates some substituting for something. Sensible and practical with a dry sarcasm (plus afro mentioned ruthlessness).

Male elf rogue, probably brown hair and brown eyes. Keep it close to me as possible for an elf I want to play another sarcastic lighthearted character. My second playthrough will definitely be a kossith of some kind, probably mage. It depends on how my first playthrough goes. Probably never a dwarf. I can never seriously play one, I don't know why.

Female rogue for my first run but after that I'm not sure. I love the mages in 2 but didn't like them as much in one. I'm also torn on what race I want. I'll probably end up playing them all at least once!

My original plan was to play a dwarf. But lately, I've been strongly considering playing a qunari.

 

If it is a qunari, it'll be a mage. No gender or appearance chosen yet.

I've finally decided to play as a Male Human Magi(continuing the legacy of my mage protagonists). Then, Human Warrior. Then a Qunari. I'll decide about the class depending on the racial background

Human Warrior Male.Background Noble if that one is there. Try to stay as close to myself as possible Fight style dont know yet o and try to date Cassandra

I've been back and forth about it, but depending on how my adventures in the character creator go, I'll be playing a female elven rogue (my favorite) first and a female Qunari 2H warrior second.  The look of the horns could flip that around, though.  Because...horns.

i will not play humans anymore in DA and ME series if i have a choice, i am done with Hawke/Shepard and do not want more of their clones

 

and Cousland was the worst origin in DAO, all others origins was great

Since i'm so curious about how it will be handled, my first character will be a blood mage. Gender and race are wholly dependant upon my skill in the CC but i'm aiming for a beautiful slightly slutty looking female elf with a mohawk type hairdo like my avatar.

 

Or Christy Mack with pointy ears lol.
