Origins and DA2, I went with a Human Female Warrior.
For Inquisition I'm either going with a Human Female Warrior, Human Female Rogue, or Male Qunari Mage.

My canon Origin was a Human female rogue archer. My canon Hawke was a female mage. For Inquisition i'll play as a female Human again but i'm undecided between a rogue archer or mage.
I have done complete playthroughs with the other races but none of them gelled with me at all, same problem playing as a male, guess i'm just boring ![]()
My Warden was a warrior. My Champion was a mage. So the Inquisitor will clearly be a rogue.
I've always played male characters and said I'd play a female one when I replay a game, but I never replayed. So maybe now is the time to be... the Inquisitrix.
Let's see sooo. my Warden was a mage and then my Champion was a mage so I don't know...mage? lol
Although I have played Warrior and Rogue too... I always go for mage first which is weird I guess....my first playthrough (If I get the game I am still on the fence about buying it) will be Female/Human/Mage and the second will be Male/Human/Warrior
human males mostly.
maybe female human mage. depends on a voice. as i remember right DAO female "sultry" was fun and well placed in moments like decapitations.
Probably a human male warrior for the first run. We'll see.
I have this weird thing where I make sure Warden, Hawke and Inquisitor of same canon are different classes so that if they would find together they would be a balanced party and do some major ass kicking ! I also alternate genders as in if Warden is female, Hawke is male and Inquisitor will be female
I've had more time to work out my desired playthroughs since I've found these forums and just buried myself in the new information we've got, so I've settled on a Grim/Stoic female Qunari archer for my first run. After that, a somewhat shy, introverted, and stupidly kind female Qunari mage. I've, uh, kinda want to play a Qunari since DA:O, so I may be going a bit overboard.
Somewhere in there is room for a tiny, sarcastic little dwarf warrior who just doesn't know when to leave well enough alone.

Might as well head canon those three characters together at once. ![]()
Sounds entertaining.
Male human rogue
Female elven rogue
Male human mage
Male human warrior
Dwarf and Qunari I am not decided on. I'll probably go male dwarven warrior and female qunari warrior
Because I'm prone to micro-management, I'll probably start with a female human mage so that I can make sure everyone's where they need to be and attack from a safe distance O:-). After I get the hang of things, though, I may try my hand at a female Elven rogue... because that's what I've played for more years than computers have been "personal". LOL
I always play a mage as my primary toon in DA games, I love the lore behind them. Male Human Mage for first play, Male/Female dwarf War for second, Female Qun/Elf for third. Not really sure about the second or third play yet, gonna wait and see how my first play goes.
I'll play as all eventually but I think this might be the first time I go through as a rogue. Tempted to try being an archer as I have only ever played as a dual wielding rogue before.
Female elf mage... like my Origins character. Strong, independent and moderate elf-maid
And no, not Dalish, a proper Circle Mage - I really, really don't fancy Dalish magic.... With all those vines, plants... so primitive.... And they are distrustful of Spirits in the Fade so, no, Spirit Healers forever!
primary character will be a blood mage! forget ***** healing spells its time to deal some death! I want to restore the old tevinter imperium defeat those damn corrupt, murdering, rapist's templars!
I don't know why but even if usually i go mage ...

This time i'll go warrior... qunari or human...maybe is the way i pictured the inquisitor in my mind ![]()
Male human warrior. I know a lot of people think that's boring, but I love playing a sword and shield warrior in these games. I would never dream of playing as a soldier in Mass Effect, but DA is different. If I play through a second time I might go Qunari of some class, but I rarely do multiple playthroughs, so I'll have to see.
Are elves skin and bones again this time?
Because they were scrawny in DAO and DA2 (also hideous in DA2), even the Dalish, elves are supposed to be slender and lithe, not scrawny.
I'd play elves if they were taller and less like skinny little kids.
Assuming the elves design look anything like that concept art I saw a while back and nothing like how they did in DA2, then I'm gonna with a Elven Rogue.
Duel Wielding Human Warrior or Dual Wielding Rogue if the Warrior can't do it.
I don't know why but even if usually i go mage ...
*snip*

DA:O played and completed as Elf Rogue and Human Warrior enjoyed the Rogue more, DAII Mage. I think I might consider playing Qunari Mage.

Human male warrior first and foremost; I want to see if I can make my Inquisitor as pretty as my Aedan Cousland.
Female human sword and shield warrior then a male elven rogue, I like being a little different. A male Kossith two-handed warrior also sounds especially intimidating, and fun.
