Makes me wonder what the combat's gonna be like.
What race, gender, appearance, and class of character do you plan to play in DA:I?

Either a Male Warrior or a female Rogue.
Most likely the Warrior though.

Let's see...in Origins my first Warden was a female city elf warrior (because I thought it was fun to watch a dainty little elf wield a massive sword and wear heavy armor) and in DA 2 I think I started with a female rogue (because I thought the battle movements were badass), although I never finished that playthrough and started over with a mage.
So for DA 3 I'll probably try playing a female archer. None of my characters has ever used a bow.

Wonder what new specialisations there will be, if any. Hopefully there's more than just the 3 per class as in DAII.
Once I know I'll decide my specialisations then and only then.

Female Rogue, and later female mage, im really not a big fan of the warrior class.

I really hope by the time it releases they have perfected a skills table like EA has in Kingdom of Amalur. It would also be nice to have a couple of races to choose from. I have a hard time imagining myself weighing more than I do so I usually play an elf, but I need magic and stealth (because I like to sneak up behind too), so an improved skills system would be cool for a mage or rogue.

I'll be playing as a male mage, since my canon Warden was a male dwarf rogue and my canon Hawke was a male rogue archer. I can say I look forward to flinging fireballs and inflicting horror upon enemies in improved graphics!
My "alternate-canon" Warden was a male human mage, and Hawke a female mage. So in this play through, I'll probably play a rogue. Or a warrior if they make the combat enjoyable enough for it.

Probably male human warrior (specced for dual-wielding, if possible), if the options are presented. After that? Probably a male human mage (specced for elemental/primal, if possible).
I'm not too big on playing the other races.

I'll play everything eventually, but I'm going to start with a female mage. (First Warden was a rogue, and first Hawke was a warrior, so I want to complete the trinity.)
Unless we get race selection back, in which case I'll probably start with a dwarf and won't be able to play a mage.

Female Warrior is usually my first playthrough "canon" story.

I think I'm for sure gonna go mage, but I don't know if I want to go with a male or female character.
Damn.
Male seems most fitting right now, because of my male in DAO and female in DA2, but I'm unsure.

I'm hoping they introduce new classes into the mix, in addition to the ones we already have, rather than merely retaining the trinity of classes from DA:O and DA2. In keeping with the theme, I'm particularly hoping for something along the lines of Pathfinder's Inquisitor class, something that straddles the line the line between warrior and rogue. Perhaps even a return of the good old standby of the Ranger.
Above all, though, I'm hoping for a return to the greater flexibility DA:O offered. I WANT MY DUAL-WIELDING WARRIOR BACK.

I want them to ditch classes. Have an open character design. You want tot be a mage with a dash of rogue fine, you want to be a warrior/thief fine, just pick the abilities that help craft the character you see.

Provided there isn't a super limited number of character slots, all of them. My primay playthroughs will almost always certainly be mages. DA2, was the only exception for that because I don't trust Carver to make much of a warden and I trust him even less as a Templar.

I played a female rogue first in Origins and a female mage in DA2 so a warrior would make sense but I'll probably just roll another rogue. Unless the storyline is mage/templar conflict orientated, in which case I'd go with a mage.

First go will be a mage. Preferably a down with the chantry, freedom for all mage.

Male rogue was my canon in DAO, and female mage was supposed to be my canon in DA2, but... really unsatisfied with that play-through, all things considered. I think it's going to be female warrior or another male rogue going into DA3. As for DA3... no idea yet. XD
