I'm going to playthru the first time as a Female Elven Mage, Romance Sera likely,
2.) Second run will be Female Qunari Rogue, Romance Iron Bull.
3.) Third Human Male Warrior Romance Vivienne if possible, depend her attitude.

I'll do every race at least once, and play female at least once, most likely. First play (which is not my "canon" run) will be a male dwarf rogue. I probably won't play Qunari until last, to see how it differs from the other three "main" races. Not sure yet what Inquisitor will be the one in my main storyline, which is a human male mage Warden and a male rogue Hawke.
As far as appearance for my dwarf goes, don't know yet. I've fiddled with a lot of sketches and even recolored the male dwarf preset that was floating about earlier for inspiration:

Nothing's set in stone beyond that I want to give him a beard, and I tend to favor darker hair/skin in most of my character creations.
I really need to see the CC, ![]()
DA:I : Female, Human, Mage (or rogue archer)
I'm planning to give her short brown hair (like Cassandra's) with a darker skin tone and maybe a face tattoo. Blue or perhaps brown eyes and a strong jaw. There will be so many options in the CC that I might not even stick with this idea, but it's all that I've been sketching lately.
In Origins I played as a female elf rogue and in DA:2 a Female rogue.
Just like in DA:O, a sexy black Female Dwarf Rogue. Hair depending on what we'll get, I would prefer short and curly (maybe even a sidehawk).

Welcome to the Bioware forums! ![]()
My canon playthrough will be either
OR
The only problem I have is deciding which one to pick as my canon. I really want to play as a male Elf because they look athletic and fit for being a rogue but I want awesome facial hair.
My go-to fantasy RPG character is in fact Dark Elf rogues / thieves / assassins / tricksters with facial hair. Something like this. He is a mage but you get the idea :-

I enjoy playing as dwarves but...If only Bioware had elves with facial hair and chest hair.... ![]()
^Reminds me of the Dökkálfar(dark elves) from Amalur. I played a female shadowcaster(rogue/mage) dökkálfar in that game that wielded chakrams and faeblades along with the use of magic.
Man I'm still deciding on that even after all this time. I do have several ideas but which one I'm going to settle on for my first play through is another question. ![]()
I might just flip a coin if all else fails hahaha.

After thoughtful consideration I think I will go with a human warrior who will romance scribbles for my first and canon playthrough (hopefully)
After that I will definitely start a Qunari playthrough just to see what will be different
Male Human mage first then, Female qunari mage
the guy with the big knife
Elf, female, mage
My starting character will probably be a human male warrior, although I am tempted to go for a female qunari mage as well, we`ll see. Not quite sure yet. xD
Human, female, warrior - at least for the first run.
female qunari warrior all the way.
I would really like to play as a Quinari, as the story and dialogue seems like it could be more unique,
But for my first playthrough, I will be a Human Rogue. I like the Rogue class, it gives me breathing room for other class types in my party, I can disarm and unlock early on, and I enjoy it! You also get exp points from disarming traps and unlocking doors or chests to, which gives you a level-edge over other classes.
I play as Human simply as its the easiest and most engrossing way to role play and feel like you are in the game. Because we are, after all, Human.
Unless you are a Qunari or an Elf in real life. In which case, we should hang out.
Umm ... I'm not sure until I see the character creator.
But either Male Human Warrior or Male Elf Mage and then a Female Human Rogue, for now.
For appearance I am waiting until I use the Character Creator.
Other than that: Male, Human, Mage or Rogue. Not sure which class to choose first yet, but I will choose the one I do not choose first for my second playthrough.
I usually play myself.
Black Male, tall.
Class: Depends on the trailer.
Dragon Age: Origins, the Sacred Ashes trailer, Warden was a warrior. DA2, the CGI trailer Hawke was a mage. I figure it was cannon. Depending on what the CGI trailer (if there is one) shows me I will pick my class accordingly.
Male. I'd like to know more about the gameplay before I choose my class. Prrrrrrrrobably rogue - I hate having to control a party member to deal with traps and locked crap. So unrewarding and annoying. I kind of hope they've gotten rid of those in this game, but probably not. Also, hopefully no more boring rogue backstabbing auto-attacks, like in Origins? I hate all these things (locks, traps, backstabbing, mustaches) that other people love. I am a monster.
Probably human. I'll see if I can make a qunari I'd like to look at, but I don't think I want a qunari rogue. Probably won't play a Dalish elf. Wouldn't I need a tattoo? I hate tattoos so much! (another character flaw) And I don't want to create some jackass Dalish who thinks he's too much of a special snowflake for his dorky culture's tattoos. I liked playing female dwarves sometimes in Origins; I might again. Eventually. I hope they fixed their arms.
Appearance: ginger, if human or elf. Bestubbled or with a light beard, if human. Probably hornless, if qunari.
Human Warrior are always my canon, and first, playthroughs.
Warden is male, Hawke is female and my Inquisitor will be male.
Warden Romanced Morrigan, Hawke romanced and killed Anders and my Inquisitor will romance Cassandra.
All will be witty because how can you not be witty as the world burns around you and you've been charged with cleaning up the mess?
