Hey folks,

I thought I'd try to get unbiased views from people who have played both Left 4 Dead 2 and Modern Warfare 2. It may get locked, but I need some opinions. I have never played their predecessors, and this will be my first fps game in years.

If I want only ONE fps game, which one would you recommend? Left 4 Dead 2, Modern Warfare 2 or something else?

^^ Arma 2 destroys MW2 in every way shape or form.

If you were to get only one i would recommend L4D2 as there is much in the way of unhacked game play. Modwar2 has multiple hacks, poor multiplayer experience, and mimics play that of the console; where L4D2 is a movie you are in. Both games are very different and with that offer different types of game play. I would never limit myself to saying just one FPS to get as while they are both FPS games they are on either end of the FPS game category. Both will entertain while ModW2 might frustrate you when it comes to multiplayer due to not just exploits but the game hacks which give massive disadvantages and make you wonder did you die fairley or because someone was running hack tools...

L4d2 couse its not a back tabing game to PC gamers like MW2 is. peach of crap,,

I'd say left 4 dead 2 because MW2 is full of hackers, campers, screaming eight year olds and everything else that can ruin a perfectly good game. Don't get me wrong MW2 is a good game but IW needs to fix some things before I start playing it again.

Both great games, but the MW2 community sucks. L4D2 does not have a death match mode, however, so you have to be willing to enjoy a different kind of multiplayer experience. Some of the multiplayer modes are as bad as MW2 frequently is, but some of those games and the main mode of multiplayer are good.  I like L4D2 more.

Thanks for the replies folks. I'm leaning more towards L4D2 because of MW2's hacker-fest.
