Gangnam Style. Name it after a city in-game and have in-game characters dancing like they're riding nonexistent horses(which is a double reference as DA has yet to have ridable mounts).

NOBODY EXPECTS THE *Insert name here* INQUISITION!!!

I'll probably crack so much that the whole game will look like a joke.

i would murder that person on that very spot even if that will provoke every single nation and result in exalted march.
sorry but each time i want to browse humorous sites this song greets ON EVERY SINGLE PAGE.
Enough is enough.

Edit: as for easter eggs,
mage pants
Drunken Dwarf paragon wannabes

Alright. Let's see...

They will probably make fun of something they did in DA2, like how Merrill comented on MotA that they finally got out of Kirkwall. I don't know exactly what, however.

Gangnam is a meme. (Well, a song, but made popular by memetics.) By the time the game comes out late 2013 or in 2014, it will be a tired joke, a flash in the pan. Many people won't even know what it means.

Better to make their easter eggs related to more stable elements of recognisable culture that can be forseen lasting for a few years OR history/language/knowledge bonuses (such as Lothering being a ref to Fear and Loathing, bilingual bonuses in meaningful names, etc). In fact, such bonuses should actually wait until the END of the development cycle, by which point I would guess Gangnam is reduced to "hey remember that song with the thing" "yeah kinda" "yeah now let's go play with our TOY PINEAPPLES, THEY ARE SO POPULAR RIGHT NOW"

A madman named Sirius to appear in the game. Whether it involves a quest or not is up to them.

That was the joke. :P NPC name taking from fans isn't anything particularly new, and easy to throw in. Gotta love that Phaeston weapon, calibrating it is elementary for most.

Someone scrawling THE END IS NIGH on a Chantry's wall (inside or out) that you visit. Or even THE END IS NEIGH.

Also maybe a painting of a dwarf and a Mabari saddled up in full armour like a knight and war horse. Easter Egg of Oghren's banter with Dog in DAO.

How about a literal, random easter egg somewhere? You can see an easter egg basket full of easter eggs behind your character during a dialogue sequence. Lame yes, but it's still early.

And maybe some mythical chickens.

I had mentioned this in a thread months and months ago, but...

... being able to find a unique piece of armor that has a Codex entry saying 'he died trying to save us all...' and having the name 'Shield of the Marauder.'

Come on, you know that would be funny. And prove that Bioware has a sense of humor.

Wouldn't making a bloodmage bleed be counterproductive?:bandit:

Could be a new kind of demon the mages summon to attack the templars.

The party stumble upon some crashed metallic wreckage that witnesses say fell from the sky and they find a comatosed person in the wreck with N7 dogtags. Said comatosed person then becomes a party member and constantly talks about some starbrat being a liar and working on broken circular logic and at the end of DA3, the Comatose vows to return to his/her world to stop some reaper threat once and for all without using the 'crucible'.

Running into a radical inquisitor who wants the purge every non-human and every heretic, infidel and traitor (so basicly almost everyone). Has carries a large hammer, lots of fancy bling and skulls.
And he swaears fielty to some God-Emperor you never heard of.

When coming into a large city one of your companions should comment "I hope we won't be stuck here for 7 years".

A hidden piece of mushroom you can consume that "teleports" you to a same-looking cave level where it is LITERALY raining bandits. Some acid trip...

Also, any space hamster shout outs are always appreciated. ME's reference was good, but I felt like could have used more of a punch line.

I'd prefer some self-referential humor. Have one (and only one) of the dungeons be based directly on the oft-repeated mono-dungeon of DA2. And have the PC (or, if a DA2 companion returns, that character) mutter something like, "This looks familiar".

Or, again, if a DA2 character appears, and you change their clothes, have them say, "Oh, thanks. I feel like I've been wearing the same outfit for a decade."

The best jokes, in my opinion, are in-jokes. (King Alistair and Anders meeting in DA2 cracks me up)
