I love this concept art. The slender design of this creature is beautiful. It has a majestic style to it that most dragons simply don't have. But it didn't translate too well into the game due to graphical limitations, or so I assume.

Skyrim has the advantage in terms of variety. There are many different types of dragons. Dragon Age completely fails in this area, only offering three different types of high dragons. The first being the high dragon you see above, the second being Flemeth, and the third being the Archdemon. What do they all have in common? They're all purple and look very similar to one another.

So, the concept for the dragons is great. The implentation of the concept into the game itself is quite poor. The variety of the dragons is abysmal. All of these things can be improved and don't require a complete overhaul of the original design.

I can appreciate BioWare creating the smaller dragons for you to fight, as well. But the big high dragons are the ones that count since they are more rare. Those are the fights people remember.

Skyrim dragons are pretty much coloured differently and have different hued fire, apart from Alduin and Paarthurnax. Also, they are actually Wyverns since they only have four limbs- dragons have six limbs. Lindwyrms have two.

...and what do you even want? You didn't address anything in your post, just said Flemeth, the High Dragon and the Archdragon look almost the same.

Do you want more? Do you want complete different looking draconic creatures or what?

More varied how? Why do they need to be more varied? Why can't Dragon Age dragons just be dragons?

It really annoys me when fantasy worlds go overboard and start cramming in fifty different kinds of dragon. There are other mythical creatures to use, not to mention ones that are straight-up made-up. We don't need a dragon of every 'element', or some nonsense like that.

I didn't say fifty or some other high number. I'm just saying some variety wouldn't hurt.
