Oh, don't worry. We will throw all the punches. Punching come standard. Possibly, if you buy the CE, David Gaider will come to your house to punch you in person.
I will also pet their hand afterwards, and coo to them softly to tell them everything will be better soon.
It's all part of the co-dependency thing we got going on here.
And *this* is why *I* love BioWare. I get that some folks love them some depressing, Japanese like story telling where it's all sadness and no Happily Ever After. However, fact is, there is plenty of that in the Real World. While I enjoy a rollercoster ride of emotional, gripping, even heartwrenching storytelling, I at least want the *option* to bring things to a close on a High Note. I don't want a game, especially an RPG, to remind me, "Hey, life sucks and sometimes there's nothing you can do about it."
Why would I want to escape from the Real World where there's plenty of all that and into a game that tells me...the exact same thing. I want to be the Hero, to make it right, save the world, get the girl, fulfill a great destiny and so on and so forth all while be rivited by the journey. Might sound cliche to some, but that's what I like and, sans one particular title, BioWare has always delivered that.
However I recognize that some folks like the opposite of all that, which is fine. My hope is that between Mary wanting to crush people's hearts and Gaider wanting to at least provide a defilbulator, we'll get options for both sides of the coin.
