The Warden - Calling

There's all this debate about whether the Warden should ever come back or whatever. My ideal solution would be to have the Warden's Calling. Maybe not as part of DA3, but maybe as a stand-alone DLC that you could play over and over and over again.
Your Warden imports into the new game and you'd have a chance to adjust the best effort to import the face morph (in case it looks god awful in the new game) and then you and a couple other Wardens and/or Legion of the Dead members head into the Deep Roads for the last hurrah. Maybe a bit of story, put a voice to the Warden or not, I don't care, but let those people take their Warden for their last hurray into a mob of darkspawn - arena, never-ending waves style in such a way that no matter what, you'll fall by the end of it. Add some sort of death scene - flashback of your life with video from the key points of Origins, etc., and then game over. Hell, even put a score on it and see if you can beat your best score.
If that was a DLC, I'd buy it. Even better if something like that could be incorporated into the game itself.
Ah, wishes.

It wouldn't have to be anything extravagant: small bit of dialogue at the start with dwarves in the Deep Roads or other Wardens at a feast. Then they let you in, shut the door, and you start carving your way through increasingly difficult waves of Darkspawn.
"In death, sacrifice".
Edit: Damn, now I really want to replay DA:O.

BUT.
Who says he/she can't find ways to extend his life? Avernus did it, and our Warden is .. A bit, more, so to speak, than a regular Warden.

Sort of off topic, but I'll ask it here. How does a dead Warden import into Awakening? Does it have any significane in the story or do they just act like your death never happened?
I believe it's the second one. That, or you can make an Orlesian Warden.

The point is to create a way for people to have closure. I suppose the Warden could find some way to get out of the taint as Fiona supposedly has, but for most people that's not the case. I'd prefer to go out in a blaze of glory (actually I already did with my main Warden all Ultimate Sacrifice-style, but for those other ones still out there, I'd like that.

It's unclear. In Witch Hunt, Morrigan makes some mention that you managed to find a way to circumvent death. But she also says a similar thing if you, like my City Elf Warden did, have Loghain take the blow for you.
It's not treated like an undo and it assigns Dark Ritual, which is shown through that Witch Hunt because Morrigan was still all moody when I did it that way the first time.

When you start up Awakening, you can import a save, or start a new game.
If you import a save, EVEN IF THE WARDEN IS DEAD, you play as the Warden. Period. No explanation is ever offered.
If you start a new game, you instead create an Orlesian for the PC, and the events of DA:O are all default, with the unnamed Warden having committed the ultimate sacrifice.
There's NO option to have a Warden sacrifice, import his decisions into Awakening, and then play as the Orlesian.

Wow. That is really lame. Well, hey, thanks for the clarification. I've been wondering about this for a while now.

If your warden is dead import a live one, if you don't have another warden don't buy it the dlc that would include this. Seems pretty straight forward.
OP that is a good idea

This. My Warden certainly do not want to die on The Deep Roads in a suicidal march, that would be as out off character as it gets. So no and one more time no.Androme wrote...

I would rather hang out with Morrigan, I bet togeather we can think of something to get rid of the Warden problem.
Those who are into going down in a blaze of glory, you guys already had your chance in DAO.
