doesn't matter, one your mom's alive the other your an orphan. even as a spacer or colonist you treat earth with the same reverence

Easily Spacer, especially if you play paragon characters.
With Earthborn for some reason I got completely blown out of character immersion in ME2 when Miranda said "little formal education" referring to Shep's past.

Looking back, it now makes sense why the default Shepard is an Earthborn/Survivor.
-Survivor, because his unit was wiped out by Cerberus... which gives Shepard more of a reason to distrust them in ME2.
-Earthborn, because that's where the main battle takes place, having more of an impact on Shepard.
I still prefer my Spacer/War Hero paragon Shepard though.

"Sole Survivor" is ridiculous...because you are not the sole survivor.
