I've seen a lot of people in silver games with <120 N7 ranks, so it almost seems like a new crop is coming in. I buy very few games per year, so I play out the ones that I have. I know, I, for one, will still be playing for awhile.

This is certainly true in my case. I'm not an FPS player, and ME3 was the first Multi I ever participated in.

I plan on staying around for a while... I bought all 3 Gears games the Batman Games and the AC sequels all at the same time as ME3 and I have not played them yet ( I am playing TF:FoC but only SP)

I'll be playing it anyway. I'm bored of CoD, never liked Halo & most importantly - Mass Effect is unique. I love the series, the single player story & now the multi player getting to play like a ninja Drell or bruising Krogan. I ignore the threads calling time on the multi player - for those individuals, yes. Not for me though.
