Don't screen cheat, but I do remember the master cheat for Turok 2 The Seeds of Evil for the N64. One of the best games ever.

Do you cheat in games? If so, is there any type of cheat you don't use or some kind of cheat (infinite health, for example) you refuse to activate? If you don't use them, why is that?

I don't cheat.

I just use "quality of life" mods.

Not unless the game has either become too difficult, or I'm just screwing around with extra nonsense like "Big Head Mode" or "Paintball Mode".

For the ease of keeping the drum session going, I throw on No-Fail mode for rock band games if I'm going for a long period of time.

Not really, no - though I'm no stranger to abusing glitches to my advantage. *cough*Morrowind*cough*

As a general rule I only cheat once I've exhausted everything else the game has to offer.  Best example is GTA San Andreas.  I got 100% on that game and I was thinking of shelfing it finally when I decided to look up cheat.  Best one is turn the entire game world into the riot section of the game (remember that part?) and start on one part of the map (like top right of Las Venturas) then get all the way down to the bottom left (like that little town right under Mt Chilliad.  No cars allowed (when the next person you see might be shooting a rocket toward you being in a car is suicide.)  See if you can make it.  I had so much fun with that!!!

Sometimes in Bethesda games you have to, like how in Fallout 3 there's that one quest where your dad asks you to murder all the super mutants at Project Purity and won't open the doors to the control room until you do, but sometimes they spawn behind the doors of the control room, and you have to either use console commands or start a new playthrough.

Oh yeah, I also cheated in New Vegas, it was the only way to get Fallout 3 style enclave armor. I regret nothing.

I cheat like a mofo in Elder Scrolls games.

This.

In Skyrim I console command money, armor, weapons, and downloaded a mod for all perks.

Cheat codes are pretty much gone in this day and age.

Yes

I don't use OP cheats or mods. But I add resources all the time, always have, since warcraft 1.

"We need 50 sovereigns for the expedition" HAHA POOF DONE!

And before that I looked at a guide for maniac mansion

No, since 2004 I think. [Edit] Doom 2, few years ago ... I had to cheat to pass three levels (Post-20 and Level 30) <_<

Last night I tried 8 times until I succeeded the last fight in Orzammar's dueling ring.

Yes, they're permitted by my rules! You get lots of advantages (passing an area unharmed, lots of treasures, money and exp etc.)

Nope don't cheat. I have a weird philosophy about that. I rarely use guides either. Only if I'm really stuck or want to get a collection achievement in a game that has hundreds of items and I'm missing a couple will I watch a YouTube video.

I do everything legit.

In ME2 the scanning really gets tiresome, so I just add the resources with a saved game editor. :)

Oh Angry you big cheat :P

@OP: I don't feel the need to "cheat" at this stage, sometimes I do get frustrated with certain missions, and there is a little voice in my head that says " lower the difficulty level", but I always put this thought off and just keep trying until I succeed

The only time I cheated was when I used planet maps on wikia page to look for minerals in ME1 , don't want to spend all the time looking for minerals

I exploit awful enemy AI's. Does that count as cheating?
