IMO, DA2 had much better mage hats than DA:O, but that's just my opinion. I did like the "hide helmet" option, though, and hope it returns. No matter how nice the hat, I still prefer the bare-headed look. The ridged sallet (bowl-shaped helmet with no visible eye-holes) did make me giggle, though.
