Generally, yeah. But both Hawke and the Warden(depending on how you played, anyway) manage to impress their respective kossith, showing themselves to be more noteworthy than simply "lesser beings".

No guarentee she'd be a qunari. She could be Tal-Vashoth. A kossith rogue who failed to adhere to the standards of the Qun, a kossith warrior woman who wanted to move past her assigned role in their society to exercise her natural talent at battle, or a kossith mage who just didn't want to be literally chained up her whole life (and Anders thinks the Chantry is bad. >_>). All of these are possiblities for a kossith female companion and love interest that Bioware could easily go with. Not to mention they can come up with their own scenarios for her that are nothing like mine here and still perfectly plausible, of course.
