I think it is worth a shot. She could be a great companion for one and besides Captain Kirk made out with aliens, why can't a human make out with the Qunari?
Because not even Kirk tried to make out with the Gorn. I'd be interested in seeing a female Qunari companion and maybe something along the lines we get with Sten where there's nothing romantic but you know there's deep feelings of respect and comradarie. One of my favourite moments in DA:O is when Sten says he wouldn't want to kill me.
P.S. No I do not want a female Sten, just like I wouldn't want a female Varric, or Alistair, or Zevran (though kinda got that already), or any other male character and vice versa.

To be fair, the Gorn is a giant Bipedal Lizard.
Qunari are large (attractive) humans with grey/blue skin and horns.
There is a world of difference there.
Kirk would have Kirked the brains out of a Qunari Woman.

As I recall the Qunari are members of many races. So it's possible that we could have a follower of the Qun as a companion. And I'd really like to explore more of the Qun, even though I find a rigid caste system and it's adherents rather distasteful. I'd also like to see a member of the Qun actually try to convert the main character to the Qun, and make some compelling arguments about why.
As to the availablity of a romance option? Meh, only if there is a story reason for it. Only if the character has a well developed personality, and who stays true to her/his belief..

Wow people are still asking for a romanceable Qunari, simply because they want a tall muscular horned women to bed?
No.
Have you read through the topic? Many people have made very compelling arguments for it that have nothing to do with 'bedding tall, muscular, horned women'.

Not everybody wants the romance just for some sex scene. If that was all I wanted in a game with romance I would play nothing but hentai games.
I want a romance because it offers great character development like with Morrigan or Fenris.

Morrigan though was a complete character even with out the romance option, Fenris.. meh, he usually died when attacking me so.....
It's difficult to tell that people want something other than a little bit of sexy time with a Kossith when all they ask for is a romance option with a female Kossith.
What else would be interesting about any member of the Qun being a companion? Personally I think Sten would make for an interesting companion. Especially if they play up his time back in the Qun, and then his constanst comparisions between our current character and the Warden (yes this would be fairly tough to do in specifics).

Sure we have Velanna,Sigrun & Tallis but these were all not in the vanilla game. They were only in the expansions...
In light of the main character being a human, the followers' should be balanced in terms of race, gender & class... I would prefer if we don't get many human followers, maybe 1 or 2 ...

Yeah, but it's been incredibly disparate for each of the games. Every single substantial release has had 1 dwarf companion. No more, no less. (Oghren, Sigrun, and Varric). The Sin wrote...
Yes...Both DA games don't have that many non human strong warrior-like female who is a follower & a LI. I mean we had Morrigan, Wynne & Aveline who are strong women but they are human.

Elves, we've had small amounts all around. One in each of Origins and Awakening, two in 2. And only a single Qunari ever.
It's always been overwelmingly stilted in the direction of Humans over all other races, and I don't like that. I want diversity, damn it!
EDIT: Actually, I forgot that Oghren was available in Awakening as well, so that one broke the mold by having TWO Dwarven companions.
Let's go by numbers, for the sake of it. Non-human to Human ratio.
Origins - 5:5 (Dog, Oghren, Shale, Sten, Zevran : Alistair, Leilana, Loghain, Morrigan, Wynne)
Awakening - 3:3 (Oghren, Sigrun, Velanna : Anders, Justice, Nathaniel)
DA2 - 3:5 (Fenris, Merril, Varric : Anders, Aveline, Bethany/Carver, Isabella, Sebastian)
Correct me on any of these numbers if I'm wrong, please, but it annoys me a lot that there have been as many of -- or more than -- humans than all the other races combined in each of the games.

Hm. Interesting that it was balanced before DA2, but then swung in the direction of more humans. I never noticed that before. Hopefully DA3 at least bring it back into balance, although I wouldn't mind a slight tilting in favor of nonhuman companions.
