I don't remember the exact quote but it was like:
"Blah blah blah sex."
"I don't know, you're kinda....small."

I dont believe Gaider ever gave it a yes/no. He just said that he needed a reason for one to be in game other than a "fetish". Side note why dont the people who want a dwarf/elf LI get accused of having a "fetish"?
A better question is this: Why are people treating a feature requested to be in a game like a plague?

Would be cool (and funny) to have a female Qunari or even a Desire demon as LI. And some rare animal as exclusive companions, like Dragons, Mabaris and maybe a Griffon.
Besides, this time DA3:I will be an open world far bigger than DA1 and DA2. That means more encounters. Maybe we can have some new races discovered, too?

A desire demon.......? I know I should be used to fan-fiction level writing in these games by now but that's going a little too far.
Why not? We had characters like Isabella or Zevram as LI, right? That's not very different.

Hmm...I would love to have a character like that in my squad, but as for an LI...only if it plays on the whole sh*tstorm created in DA2 what with the battle and all. A sort of bridging of two worlds, so to speak.
Though some of this "bridging" can be done via a companionship mechanism, I think a romance scenario would give us more intimate insight into the Qunari or just the Kossith in general. They all come off very stoic and severe in the games. An LI option gives a chance to peel away that layer (...or 20 layers, lol) of granite and see what really goes on inside their heads/hearts, etc.
Just a thought.

I think Gaider already said no to any Qunari LI.
No. What he's saying is that if this is just so you can see your protagonist grab her by the horns and ...go to town, then he's not interested in serving your boner.
However, if the community made a compelling case for it in terms of how it would serve the story from a character study, for instance, then he would be inclined to go down that road.
My thought is that an LI gives a unique chance to really get into the inner workings (no pun intended) of what makes a kossith tick, Qunari or otherwise. What do they fear? What do they want out of life? Intra-race conflicts: E.g., Qunari vs Tal'Vashoth vs kabethari. Being one and how you are perceived by the others, etc. Very personal stuff that I don't think a kossith would share with someone...except an LI.

Any "community compelling case" will be mostly fueled by a muscle fetish lust for Qunari women.Master Che wrote...

What's the problem in having a strong, tall and badass female LI in a fantasy RPG? Some people here are asking for Aveline, and she is quite muscular herself.
There's no rule stating all the LI must be a damsel in distress - allways smaller and weaker than the main character - is it?

Anyway, the list of companions is fixed and won't change according to the "what we know" thread.

Maybe no Qunari. That doesn't mean that there can't be a Kossith companion. She could be a Tal'vashoth or a Tevintar slave, for example.

I just love it how some people relate to everything in terms of sex. I have yet to see that compelling case DG would need to consider the idea.

hearing most people talking here I get the impression they don't even consider what would really imply having a Kossith or a Desire Demon close enaugh to be a LI, do you even ocnsider the lore? Luckly DG has a working brain

Yup. If a Qunari or Tal Vashoth female is not in the roster already, it won't be added now.Ieldra2 wrote...

Personally, I'd love to see a Tal-Vashoth female companion. I have absolutely no interest in romancing her (although I wouldn't care one way or another if she were romanceable). I just want to learn more about Qunari culture from a female perspective.
