Given that qunari (and Tal-Vashoth, AFAIK), don't seem to establish romantic attachments, I don't see this working at all.

They're only... erm... mortal? The heart wants what the heart wants.

Hearts are structural weaknesses, qunari do not use them.

More seriously, the average Qunari flat out probably does not understand the concept.

*EDIT

Basically not every species is simply a human reskin. The Qunari are not necessarily mentally human.

Not only that but they dont seem to fully grap the concept altogether. Especially if they follow the Qun.

Qunari generally do not associate mating with love. They feel love. They have friends. They form emotional bonds with one another. However, they simply do not sleep with each other to express it. If they do, then they are sent to be reeducated by the Ben-Hassrath

Took that from the wiki page. They feel love, they just don't express it through sex :) In that respect, their love is asexual.

In that case, it makes it boring! :P

Heh, in all seriousness though, with a charissmatic lead there is no reason why the female couldn't learn the positives of the two together. (no pun/inuendo intended) :)

I think if we ever put a female Qunari into the game, I'd have to make her non-romanceable almost on principle. Just because it would be funnier that way.

PC: (picks heart icon) How YOU doin'?
femQunari: *blank stare*
PC: What's wrong?
femQunari: I mean no offense. You are simply very... small.

cue Sad Hulk music.

That is either sexist ( female/male proportion standards ) or racist ( inter species romances ), or both.
Size doesn't matter. <3

That's Qunari ( belief ) not Kosith ( race ).

Tal-Vashoth can have the same views on love as any other culture they chose as an idol in place of Qun.

So a romance is possible, but it won't become sexual? That's fine with me. Image IPB

Ahh, but what if they are neither Qunari nor Tal-Vashoth? What if they are simply a Kossith, raised outside of or away from the Qun never exposed to it?

Certainly possible, but Gaider won't admit it.

Yes because human are so diverse, but all Kossith think and act exactly the same.

Also we've never seen a female kossith in the game let alone how they interact with the males

People seem to be under the impression that Kossith do not feel romantic or sexual attraction. That's most likely false. It's just the prominent Kossith religion, The Qun frowns upon romance and mating for purposes other than reproduction.

Which is why a Kossith raised outside the Qun can make a romance possible.

If the DA3 uses the concept art of female kossith, I would definetly date her! And it's weird because I never make my main character bi or lesbian :pinched:!

I always portray my character as my own preferences :P

Female kossith looks gorgeous, prideful, strong and elegant (my assumptions on just the comic pic)

Well the high-lighted portion suggests that they are certainly capable of expressing love through physical intimacy. Their culture just forbids it.

agreed - it would be nice to know someone who was quunari and has either left it or still is part of it (but raised in it, unlike that elf (forgott the name...shame on me) from mark of the assassin who chose to believe in the quun)

even more if you clash with her a lot but still are able to romance her!

greetings LAX
