Question is simple. Will we have more stats to play with in DA3. In 2 it seemed that they really streamlined the skill trees. While I wasn't terribly dissapointed about the streamlining and removal 'skills' I still felt that the game lacked a bit because of it. One of my favorite parts of an RPG is being able to level up become stronger. What do you guys think? should we have more stats to allocate points to? Or should we leave it how it was in DA2?

Actually, that was one area I was happy with in DA2. I liked the way the skill trees functioned (even if I didn't care for the implementation of those skills in combat). I'd like to see more of them, of course. And specializations that actually feel "special".

Now, for the numerical attributes... yeah, that was bad. Because of the way gear worked, you were pretty much just dumping everything into whatever the two relevant stats for your class was. It was silly. That needs to be fleshed out better.

Well, even in Origins if you wanted to make your guy as strong as possible, you essentially focused on a single stat after a certain point. Dragon Age 2 made this point harder to reach. I don't think we need anymore Attributes like Strength or Dexterity.

One thing I think they need to bring back is Health/Mana gained on level. I hated having next to no Stamina in Dragon Age 2 because of my Sustain Abilities, just like how I didn't like them being percentage based instead of a set value. The one thing I loved in Awakening is that you started to feel really strong, especially as a Mage with 6-7 Sustain Abilities, and barely lost Mana because they only took away 20-30 Mana away total, and you're walking around with almost 800 Mana because of Clarity, Willpower, Magic and Passive Mana Growth. Not including items. It made me feel like a wrecking ball.

One thing on Stats I think they can change is how they decide to do Item Statistics. Resistance should go back to being Percentage based, Critical Damage shouldn't make an appearance until later, and Mana/Health increases should be more stable (not +3 Mana. That's useless) just a few examples off the top of my head.

I think they said they were looking into making specialization choice more meaningful not just gameplay wise but story wise. Also I agree you Maclimes for the most part.I just think they should bring some skills back from Origins.

we could get away from attribute as such and have skills/talents that would give point in strenght or dex and so on.
