 I wouldn't mind both and Evengeline as companions. We've never had a couple as companions before.
Of course, I can't see Rhys and Evangeline following the Inquisitor and I'm not sure Cole actually works as a companion.
As for the Teveniter Magister who isn't  a git, I vote: Maevaris Tilani, noble AND hot.
Can't see a Magister as a follower though

Better start, character "survey" (if true) gives you a Magister Companion (Dorian Paivus - I think it the name)

I dont see either as a problem party member wise and love how not even 2 post deep in the thread DG lays out the law! LOL! OP stated out the lines as facts and I was shaking my head like "What?!" Then I had it confirmed in the 2nd post.

This... Would actually be interesting.

On topic: I didn't really like either character personally.
I have also before stated that I want a blank slate of companions, that's more fun in my opinion.

I would personally prefer to not have any companion who had such major characther development in a book I can't and won't read.
Companions are such important aspects, I prefer too have the option to know them through the game universe.

I haven't read Asunder yet, but the idea of Cole is very interesting to me. A murderous ghost? It's like my Haunted Mansion dream-come-true.

We do know he's somewhat demonic, the litany of andralla worked on him.

Personally I think Cole was initially a mage that was indeed forgotten in the cells, then a demon found him and posessed him.
Demons apparently draws from the memories of whatever they posess, which is why most turn crazy when posessing stuff. They don't understand crap.
Cole had no memories because he had repressed them, but there was still a part of his memories left in the demon-thing that Rhys got to know, since he saw those memories in the fade.
But in the end he was mostly a demon that thought he was still Cole, no telling how old he actually was.

 I knew it was a bad idea to come to this thread yet I came anyways even WITH a spoiler tag. 2 chapters before completing the book  Ah well.
I want Cole to be companion because... COME ON! He is adorable and needs hugs !

(As I said, I haven't completed the book so I don't really know what Cole is in the end.) He still needs hugs and my PC will give him hugz
