  I have seen in the
forums that the warden should atleast make a cameo but I think that the game
will focus on the mages and Templars war so I was thinking that Hawke should
have a major role in this game because he was there when it all began so what
do you think should Hawke have more than a single cameo in DA3?

Yep Hawke should be out cleaning the stables.

Yeah I would love to see Hawke have a major role. He would have a lot to say about the Templar / Mage conflict now and I want to see how his character progresses.

Well, seeing how he helped ignite the Templar/Mage war, I would certainly hope so.

I honestly think that Hawke should just be mentioned and maybe meet some people he touched, but for the most part not in the scene. The fact that he actually has a voice means it would be easier to implement him into the game with this personality, and if he had to show up he could at least converse with you, while the Warden couldn't.

Depends how you define major.

I definatly don't want Hawke as a companion. But to have them be a major NPC that either supports you or that you must kill depending on which side of the mage/templar conflict you chose to be on would be interesting. Though it might just be easier and just as interesting if we're following Hawke's footsteps and either increasing the carnage or mending the path that our Hawke would potentially be walking based on choices from DA2.

Hawke has fewer issues being implemented than the warden so I feel it is more likely we'll see him/her. (already has a voice and model, not the 3 race, 3 class, multibackground permutations the warden has)

He could be in the tutorial. The bit that explains how the murder knife works.

Hawke should have been the protagonist.

But since he's not, I don't favor a critical role. Although I still want some element of closure, I'm not sure I even want to see a cameo (that said, I think it would be easier to create some small role for him than it would for the Warden).

He was "my" character. I don't want to see him running around doing things I have no input in, and I don't want to have somebody show up who also identifies as "me" when I'm supposed to be playing a new character.

How about Carver? Tell me you don't want to see how he makes out, now that he's his own man.

I know, I know. Too many variables. Still, it would have been awesome.

It would be interesting to see an imported hawke make a cameo I just wonder how the variables would address his/her personality and choices. I can see these forums crying about how the hawke is not "their" hawke and it wouldn't be worth the headache for bioware. So yeah I would like to see him but I wouldn't be suprised if he doesn't make an apprearence for understandable reasons.

I would prefer if Hawke were the primary character again, actually. Sarcastic Hawke is one of the funniest characters Bioware has done, in my opinion.

Hawke should die offscreen. You hear this off of some ambient dialogue by two drunks in a bar.

"I hear the Champion of Kirkwall died."

"So?"

I think so, considering he pretty much caused everything to come to a head. Maybe not major as far as the amount of time the character takes up out of gameplay, but their importance to the story of DA3 in general.

No, neither Hawke nor the Warden should be in DA3, a mention of what they're doing is fine but since they won't be playable characters all it will do is serve as a platform for people to complain and rage about how "My Hawke wouldn't do that!", etc. And you know that will happen.

Bioware would just be giving themselves a needless headache if they do.

I like to think that Hawke never happened.

I want something completely new for DA3.

Hawke and the Warden are big powers on that world, for them to not involved or reports coming in on massive forces being defeated by three or four powerful individuals.... Kinda breaks the story of that world when established characters don't take effect global anarchy in some way.

Hell no. At best he should be the Warden's waterboy
