Hawke should have been the protagonist.

But since he's not, I don't favor a critical role. Although I still want some element of closure, I'm not sure I even want to see a cameo (that said, I think it would be easier to create some small role for him than it would for the Warden).

He was "my" character. I don't want to see him running around doing things I have no input in, and I don't want to have somebody show up who also identifies as "me" when I'm supposed to be playing a new character.

This....and this. Yes.

Lol. I didn't even realize this was initially from 3 months ago.

Your not the only one. I am wanting some closure on Hawke that Exalted March would hopefully have given me. After all Hawke is there at the start of this tragedy for Thedas and it would be a bigger tragedy for Hawke to be missed out. I do miss the highly sensuous VA of Jo Wyatt  .

No. A cameo, okay.

Yes I'd love to see Hawke and Anders commanding waves of mages who are fighting templars.

Alas with people's Hawke being male / female, warrior, mage, etc.. and Anders being possibly dead, it will be hard for writers to make it work for all people. With that in mind, I'l gladly take a lil cameo like Alistair's in DA2

I would say no. But there is a part of me that would like to know how both Hawke and the Warden were getting along, so a cameo from both would be good.

At the moment both the Warden and Hawke are 'missing in action' (for me anyway) and a bit of closure would be good.

I won't accept any former PC appearing in a non playable capacity. Maybe if they had a brief flashback where they were playable with face obscuring helmets I would accept it, nothing less.

The Mage/Templar conflict is not yet over. But Hawke's (and Anders') actions have pushed it further into motion.

And Hawke's not the kind of character to just give up on that. When the fighting gets started Hawke isn't one to just walk away from it.
So I hope s/he at least has some sort of important piece in the plot. At the very least I want to know where they disappeared to.

If the new protagonist doesn't mmet Hawke then maybe they find something like a book that takes you in a flash back where you play as Hawke for one quest giving you closure as what happened to him and his LI if s/he had one.

If you do meet Hawke then maybe you work together or against him depending on your view and Hawkes view. that would be him having a major role in the game and not just a cameo like Alistair made in DA2. If this does happen it would make sense if his/her LI was with him so also giving you closure on that matter as well. Also Hawke should keep the personality you gave them. Imagine sarcastic new guy and sarcastic Hawke having a conversation with Varric, Isabela, Oghren and Zevran. That would be a nice bonus

I only read this part, because I'm lazy.  I don't even like Hawke and I like this idea.
