Go back to using Origins design of Hurlocks, and ogres.
Do you think there is any chance Bioware will?

If people demonstrate that they care about more than just f***ing romances, maybe.

Maybe the hurlocks but the ogres were very much improved in Da2.

I certainly hope they bring the old Darkspawn back... DA2's were awful IMO.

In case you haven't noticed, the question here is whether a person thinks there is a chance Bioware will revert their art stance. We're basically speculating wildly, but a comparison between the two art designs by forum goers is irrelevant to whether or not Bioware developers will revert the art style. DinoSteve might very well agree that the Origins one is better, but that does not change whether he thinks Bioware will revert the art style.
On that note, I also believe they will not be reverted, but I also believe they won't keep the DA2 versions. I believe most everything will be advanced to a new art style for DA3.

The decision comes from fan feed back so of course which version the fan likes better is relevant.

I liked the Genlocks more in DA2, and the Ogres more in DAO. I'm not very fond of either Hurlock design - the DAO one look like pretty generic zombies, and the DA2 ones like goth Skelator.
All in all, I'd rather they do another design tweak of all three than just revert back to DAO models. And bring back the Shrieks, already!

I like the Origins Ogre much better. In fact I hate the DA2 ogre in comparision.

This
But I do agree that Origins Ogres are better, but I like the genlocks from Da2, that weird?

That's not necessarily true. I mean, it's possible they'll take fan feedback into consideration when/if they revist the darkspawn designs (there might not even be darkspawn in DA3... just sayin', we don't know yet), but it's equally possible that the art team/whoever has the final say much prefer the design of DA2's darkspawn, and will continue using/refining that design out of personal preference/creative direction/you know what I mean, regardless of fan feedback...
Either way, it doesn't hurt to voice your preference, I just wouldn't bank any hopes/dreams on BW having some kind of obligation that compels them to fulfill every single fan demand. They'll do what they can when they can, but not at the expense of the game they want to create.
Having said that: I am completely indifferent. Both designs looked fine to me.

DAO= Better Darkspawn and Ogres.

The new Orgres I didn't mind and the new genlocks I preferred because the old ones looked unthreatening to me. The new emissarys (with added bondage fetish) looked pretty bad. And what happened to Shrieks? They just disappeared.
But the Hurlocks, from the tin hatted archers to the cartoonish warriors looked much worse than their Origins counterpart. They need serious redesign.

I wonder how much of the darkspawn we'll even be seeing in da3. Regardless, I hope they return to dao design or come up with something new.

I very much hope so. The Darkspawn and Ogres in Origins actually had a threatening appearance to them. In DA2 they looked like something out of a 1980's Saturday morning cartoon.

DAO Darkspawn = Badass looking monsters
DA2 Darkspawn = R*tarded looking monsters

Then Genlocks in DA2 were miles better than in DA:O. Ogres, could go either way but Hurlocks were much cooler in DA:O.

Legacy came up with some awesome designs. So I'm guessing the Darkspawn will get a new makeover.

I really hope so. DA:O hurlocks were superb, menacing and cruel-looking. DA2, not so much... I wouldn't mind if they kept the new genlocks however, since they were somewhat more imposing than the weak genlocks in Origins. The new Ogres were fine as well, but could use a bit more detail.

People want DA to be the sims emulator. I think it's the female audience that's pushing hard for this. The Hierophant wrote...
