I liked how the darkspawn looked like lepers in DA2 instead of the Tolkien orcs in DAO, I do think they should work more on the darkspawn armor, I like the idea that they made armor from scrap but the execution was not good.

The DAO ogres are still better, in my opinion. And that's the key. It's my opinion. Both ogres aren't objectively better than the other, it's simple a matter of what a person likes and dislikes in an art style. Some people like more the DAO ogres, some people the DA2 ogres. It's the same for every art styles  in a game(even for the hurlocks or emissaries, there's someone who prefer them in DA2).
Now, I'd prefer if they change the art style of the darkspawn, but I don't think they'll do it. Anyway, it's not a big deal. Maybe I'll like them more with the new engine, even if the art style it's the same.

Not in the vanilla game (though the emissaries resemble the shrieks more than the hurlocks). I don't know about Legacy.

People want DA to be the sims emulator. I think it's the female audience that's pushing hard for this.

Because women couldn't possibly care about monster design and romances, amirite? And there are no male players who never shut up about Morrigan or Tali.

I think we'll see a whole new art style again. The darkspawn will be tweeked and re-armored. I miss the Shrieks...
